As you indicated our starters consisting of Swaby, Visco, Moneme, Wright & Norton are solid. Off the bench, Senior Christy Monroy is excellent at holding middie & freshman Gabby Provenzano looks very good in that role as well. On the outside, frosh Dana Goldstein & Jezlyn Jimenez have both seen action--Goldstein, a considerable amount; Jimenez, a high school All American, not as much--very fast; I like her game, what I have seen of it. Soph Tiernny Wiltshire, hopefully back off injury is very fast & versatile & can play the outside as well. Soph Megan Katona has played the outside in both regular season games & has acquitted herself well. Frosh Aolani Colon has seen some action on the outside as well. With Visco out, Moneme switched to Center D & frosh Alexa Ferreira started & played very well. However, not sure if she took Monome's place at holding middie or there was some other juggling that took place there.

IMO the only place we might be a little thin is at center D. Monome can clearly drop back there to what was her original position as a frosh & do an outstanding job as she has just demonstrated. Other than that don't know who else. Would have to think that Monroy could do it-- smart, with great soccer sense & skills. May have left someone out, but this is my take at this time for what it's worth.

The only team that moved ahead of Rutgers is Texas A&M which moved up from 16th to 12th without playing a game last week. Their two wins are against San Diego now 0-3 and Pepperdine ranked tied for 41st with a 1-1-1 record.

We haven't beaten the strongest opponents, but as bsh points out neither has Texas A&M. These polls IMO are sketchy at best. I don't think that Rutgers gets the recognition we deserve. Hopefully it will give our girls motivation.

The slotting for Rutgers should be easier for the poll on 9/11.
The next 3 games should be wins if Rutgers is a top 10 or even a top 20 team. The 9/10 game at Georgetown will be the test. Georgetown beat Rutgers twice last year, is currently ranked 11th and the game is on the road.
