Womens Soccer RU 1 Michigan 1 in Double OT

Very good & tough game. Whoever had the wind with them seemed to have the better of the play. Michigan, with the wind, scored in the 1st half, though they were also quicker & more physical than us. We scored with the wind in the 2nd half. We also had the better of the play. Picked it up & were more agressive. 1st OT Michigan, with the wind. Pretty even, maybe slight edge to Michigan. Can't remember too well. 2nd OT distinct edge to RU. We had the wind but were beating them to the ball & had the pressure on.

Our goal was an own goal on Michigan. Stats show an even game. We out shot them 11-10. Shots on goal to us 7-6. Corners even at 3 each. At least we got some points. Don't know how many for a tie.

Indiana at Yurcak Thurs the 8th at 7pm. Go RU.

I'll take a 4-point weekend. Minnesota coming back to the pack, a tad, after playing 3 of the 4 worst teams in the conference to start off quickly.

Watch IU. Thought the same considering their record. Then looked at their game results. They tied both Northwestern & Illinois, both of whom beat us by a goal. They seem to play very low scoring games, which probably indicates a good defensive club. A challenge for us. Maybe not the strongest offensive club. Good for us, considering our stout defense all over the field. This is, of course all conjecture. Not conjecture- the Big is a tough conference and as Coach O'Neil stated, every game is a battle.
