Goals by Brittany LaPlant in the 1st half on a nice ball to Carina Hendley on the wing, cross to Brittany for the score. How you draw it up. Colby Carrocca in the 2nd half with a header off a beautiful corner from Kenny Wright.

Drexel took it to us in the first half. We were not sharp, but picked it up toward the end & Brittany scored late. We dominated the 2nd half. Much sharper & Colby scored early. No shots on Casey.

No shots on Casey - again?

How many shots has she faced all season in 5 games?

Sometimes a rough first half like that can be good for a young team. Glad they executed adjustments in second half.

just an aside.
i dont think this was a group failing but rather a situation causing the erratic first half play.

The mids had been playing very well together with movement improving daily

What was different yesterday was defender Adoree Moneme played the first half at center mid. I think its a team thing as she was flawless stepping in for Visco.. So Amanda is back and what happens with her ?
Then Tierney Wiltshire, after missing 4 games, needs to play to get in shape.

So there was a total distortion of the substitution patterns and interjecting players who are outside that chemical issue. Second half return to normal.

Mike has to find a lot of time for talented girls to play. But doing so can dramatically affect the rhythym.

IE watch our back four and the interaction with Casey . N/o other team is as smooth with this as Rutgers

Not many.

I asked because I remember reading quite a few game summaries (by you or someone else) where the comment is made the opposition had 0 shots on goal.

It sounds like amazing defense, and I thought it would be cool to know the total and how that compares with our teams in the past.

Are we breaking team records in this regard?

Any way, thanks always for your info regarding the team!

you know occasionally we just dont process the shots
Casey had two balls hit that she had to make very good saves on. Either could have gone in

I am only able to get to one or two games a year, so I was excited to be there yesterday. Players have good and bad days, so I can't guarantee my observations are relevant for the entire year.

Two players caught my eye. It is difficult not to notice the play of Kenie Wright. I am amazed by her stamina. She played the entire game and was all over the field. She frequently came forward and caused lots of problem for their defense. Even at halftime, she was running off the field ahead of the other players. I am glad we will have her for another year after this one, as she will be so difficult to replace when she graduates.

The other one was Moneme. During the game I saw last year, she really did not show much. In fact I was wondering if she might transfer after the year. I was amazed at how much she seemed to have improved. IMO she was a dominant defender during this game. She has great size and strength, and she seems to have now figured out how to play the game. It just goes to show how fast players can develop in the right environment.

It was obvious that we have lots of talent, but it was also apparent that we are a young team. The skills are there, but lots of players are still trying to figure out how to adapt their game to the college level. It appeared that lots of the sophomores have made big strides since last year.

This year we appear to have a very strong team, but next year we will be at an even higher level IMO

Interestingly, Mike said on R Vision interview[paraphrasing] when some players don't play up to the level at which they've been playing we have others who can step in & pick them up. Believe this accurately reflects what happened. Lots of talent as you said. .

Excellent observations. Agree.

Agree--Kenie is simply tremendous in all aspects of the game. Also agree re: Adora. She has clearly blossomed & as you say figured the game out & raised her game to an entirely different level. She is great at both center D & holding Middie.

This team has a shot to make a lot of noise when competition level increases. Just steady improvement will be key.
