IMO they have always been partial to Penn State. Stanford beat Penn State 2-0 this season. They are 6-1. Penn State is 5-1-1. This week the Coaches ranked Penn State a couple of spots ahead of Stanford.
Also good argument that we should of be ahead of no.3 Duke at 5-2.

If it’s any consolation, lots of women’s soccer fans are equally baffled by this week’s poll. Notre Dame should be a top 5 team right now and is instead placed below a South Carolina team that had 2 SOG at most vs NC State. Duke was outshot 15-2 by UNC this past week, were completely outplayed, and haven’t budged. UVA had an odd draw to VCU but trying to justify that UVA isn’t a top 5 team while South Carolina is up there had to take some mental gymnastics. Eventually it’ll sort itself out I’m sure but early polls are a mess even in the best of times.
