Wonder with the storm hitting Florida will FSU vs Miami get cxl'd? Didnt they take the 8pm slot on ABC?

They may not have power down there. Seems silly to play if you are putting the players and fans in harms way.

Thats absolutely ridiculous. They cancel classes from 3 pm today and all day Friday but don't move the game during the worst part of the hurricane.

Just shows you some people's priorities.

No way they can play Fla-LSU. As to the other game I'll guess they're thinking Miami will not bear the brunt like the more northern part of the state. The storm will be up near the Carolinas by kickoff. If there's power I bet they play rightly or wrongly.

I guess they (ABC) dont have to make a decision now with us being ESPN, they always have the option if needed. The cameras and crew will be in NJ either way.

They should move the LSU FL game to LSU. And next year give FL the home game.

Florida game cancelled per Ross Dellenger:

BREAKING: #LSU's game against Florida has been canceled, a source tells The Advocate. It will not be rescheduled. #Gators

Those f*ckers at ESPN College Football say:
"BREAKING: LSU vs. Florida has been "postponed indefinitely" due to Hurricane Matthew."

What's to keep them from flipping the site to lsu? Give UF two home games in a row starting next year.

If they played one another last year, they might not be scheduled for next year. They're in separate divisions of the SEC and may not be scheduled to play for another few years. The SEC still plays just 8 conference games so that means 2 crossover games per team per year in a 14 team conference.

I said the same thing... but the storm is actually tracking north of Miami, Saturday should be a perfectly clear day. Gotta figure they are probably all used to tropical storms down there. But yea, I'm surprised this game wasn't a casualty of the storm too.

@McMurphyESPN: Florida offered to play LSU on Nov. 19 & cancel Presbyterian game, but LSU refused, source told @espn. LSU hosts South Alabama on Nov. 19

They're permanent cross-division rivals so they play every year. The SEC uses a 6-1-1 scheduling model - 6 division games, 1 permanent cross division rival and one other rotating cross-division game.

The way the storm was tracking there was never any doubt down here that the game would be played. You guys need to stick with snow storms and leave the Hurricanes to us. We are not taking a direct hit from this storm in Dade or Broward. Now, WPB and North of WPB, they got a problem. That's why LSU and FL got cancelled.

Ha ha, Im about 6 hours northwest of you in Valdosta, GA, they are acting like the storm is coming for us...lol.

I just read FSU plans to leave tomorrow for Miami, and Miami will resume practice on Friday. How in the heck is a plane going to fly through that? They would have to go way west. There will still be wind on the west coast of FL. I'd be concerned for everyone's safety.

Yup. Only about a 5 1/2 hour bus ride.
