Wow Michigan fans

gotta say what assholes. First time ever as a long time fan and season ticket holder I had to call security up to my section to send two assholes packing for being total assholes. Believe me I would have much preferred to drip these scumbags but at 55 I need to be more responsible. In any event **** Michigan forevermore.
Since joining the big ten the most arrogant fans I've come across are easily michigan fans. I hope ohio state continues to beat them every year.
78-0

Take a number and stand in line behind the other B1G fan bases who whine about us fans when we kick their ass.
42-13

Are you serious?? Do your research... He has been yapping since he took the job.... I'm sure now he realizes how far away his program is from competing he is regretting those statements.
---
Michigan is a bit different than most other programs in the big ten, with the exception of Penn state, in the fact that you come into NJ in a big way, be it recruiting camps, high school graduations commencement speeches and the like

If RU had any balls, they had to respond to an unusual approach your university has used in regards to our state

I could argue that most fans and observers would have seen RU as too submissive if we did not respond.

Thanks, I will.

Worst loss for a conference game in ANY conference in 100 years.

Feels pretty good from reading this forum the last year. Your guys' saltiness towards Michigan nearly rivals OSU's. Deserved.

Muh bulls blood
Muh recruits
Muh satellite camps
He is an OSU fan based on his posting history, which makes this even more hilarious. People say "Oh wow why do you guys come to the opponent's forum during game weeks", well this guy takes obsession to the next level by going to his rival's opponent's forum. Pathetic!

I challenge you to find the bulk of those quotes here.... try and find it...-don't believe everything you read on one of your boards....

Here is the pre game prediction thread.... usually you can get a feel of what the
general population here thinks ....insults few and far between, and most realistic

If people want to act foolishly, eventually it'll catch up to them and usually at the worst possible times. Just look at Trump.

Karma. Don't mess with her.

I like the earlier comment about Walmart Wolverine fans. For non-Michigan alums living in NJ that buy gear at Walmart.

This is truly a situation where there are a lot of people in NJ that didn't go to Rutgers and have chosen a perennial winner to be their rooting interest. It is similar to the Notre Dame fans. In the NFL you have it with Cowboys fans that grew up when the Jets / Giants were bad teams.

Part of the problem is Rutgers has not been able to keep its winning traditions established under Schiano. A lot of it is an institutional issue where there has been poor leadership in the athletic dept (ie. Julie Herman)

It is even worse in a blow out because these fans (many who didn't go to Michigan) start to psychologically flex their muscles at the superiority of their team. They are baiting the fellow fans that went to Rutgers because Rutgers was a JV team this past Saturday vs a top Varsity team.

On top of that, it is a NJ thing for those who can afford it to go to school away from NJ. Michigan is a popular destination because it is a good school and offers a nice campus environment.

Why the bad blowout?
- Michigan had to win by more than Ohio St did to prove they are better
- Michigan recruits NJ heavily and wanted to assure Rutgers can't steal recruits
- The whole Ash vs Harbaugh thing with the camps this summer
- lack of respect from Michigan's stand point to Rutgers. They treated us the way we treat Howard. Typically when up 35 to 40 points you put in 3rd stringers and practice squad players to run the ball to show sportsmanship.

At this point Rutgers is no different then Illinois, Purdue, or Minnesota in the B10. I would put Indiana on the list but they have really good hoops. Maryland is really good in hoops, soccer, and lacrosse.

Here is how RU is doing in the fall B10 sports:
Football - last place (0 wins in conference)
Mens Soccer - last place (2 ties and 0 wins in conference)
Ladies Soccer - 5th of 12 teams (3 points out of 1st)
Field Hockey - 7th of 9 teams (have 1 win with last place 0 wins)
Ladies Tennis - last place (0 wins in conference)
Ladies Volleyball - last place (0 wins in conference)

I haven't been to a Walmart in a while, and when I have gone in, I don't look at the clothing, but I highly doubt the Walmarts in NJ carry Wolverines gear.

OK.

Folks, I present you with item two for "why does the entire B1G think Michigan fans are ass*holes"

Now take your 12 post troll account and your Walmart Michigan #13 unlicensed shitty jersey and go suck a bag of dicks ya front running shitty blog quoting dipshit. LOL <click>

I saw a Michigan several rows behind me ejected. Don't know why but assume from what the cop was carrying it was alcohol related.

Other than that I had no issues with the fans on either side of me. More so with the ticket holders who sold them. We were talking pleasantly before the game and as I left in the 3rd Qtr for the first time ever one 20 something UM fan shook my hand, wished me well, and said basically....Sh!t happens, it was one game, and don't lose the faith.

I doubt many of the d bag michigan fans people met at the stadium are from new jersey. College football has long had little popularity in the state due to no local team to root for and when locals did find someone to support it was either penn state, Syracuse or Notre dame. There must be very, very, very few casual michigan fans in new jersey and I doubt such fans would go to the trouble and expense of going to a game.

Just actually checked. OSU 13 - UM 3 over the past 16 match ups. I'd say the Buckeyes own their ass in the 21st century.

I'd like to look at the positive from that slaughter. This is going to kill Michigan's strength of schedule. So IN YOUR FACE, MICHIGAN FANS!

I agree. The three sets of non-alum Michigan fans I met said they were from Philadelphia, Virginia and New Hampshire and said they had not gone to any college. When I asked why they were Michigan fans, they just shrugged their shoulders, as if even they couldn't understand why they were rooting for them (and just wanted to jump on the bandwagon of a traditionally successful team). I don't think many NJ residents are choosing to root for Michigan unless they have a connection (alum, family member that went there, or they are originally from Michigan).

Idiot post if the week.

..And you R clueless about Rutgers' history, NJ demographics and recruiting in general. Also if you think Michigan's a better place to live than NJ, please move and bug posters on that board vs this one.

Want another accurate opinion from one of the older smarter posters here check out Camdenlawprof's posts n the "depression" thread. Also if I posted here and you complained about such I mentioned Rutgers' upside might be that of a Michigan State or current Nebraska-that was actually mentioned first this weekend by Piscataway Mike's brother and Mike-two lifelong Jersey residents and long time RU and Jets season ticketholders.

I'd like some clarification of "jungle monkey".

Didn't think (and saw no reason to attend) there would be many Iowa grads from the area either-but there were...

That said didn't meet any D-Bag Michigan fans (except here on the board)-the few surrounding us in 125 were ether friendly of keep to themselves. Seemed pretty much alumni.

Just remembered a t-shirt I saw on a few Michigan fans that had I been drunk (I had 4 beers in 4 hours of tailgating Saturday) could have been a big problem because, well, I can have a mouth on me sometimes (yeah, I know, hard to believe, right? lol...). Anyway:

the t-shirt "New Jersey....Only The Strong Survive..." in Maize-and-Blue, with the NJ outline and all, but with an arrow pointing west of NJ, but on the bottom of the shirt "...then WE go to MICHIGAN."

I thought one of my buddies was going to jump the railing (we sit in rows 11 and 12) and kill this kid as he kept walking back-and-forth, side-to-side, unable to find his friends and obnoxiously yellow for them while doing so. Ugh.

Actually a Chicago-native Michigan fan came down early in the game and asked if he could stand next to me (I have the last seat on the left side of my row, but where there are steps going up from the concourse between rows 10 and 11, so there is room for extras, typically, to stand/hang out there).because it was too packed-in where his seat was higher up in the section. I wasn't comfortable at first but, I gotta say, he was the coolest guy, was respectable even when I was being an ass (early in the game, on a couple of non-calls), and was very knowledgeable. Now...the group in front of us...and back to our left...complete assholes and each group had at least 1 person tossed.

I know two in New Jersey: both are married to Douglass grads, and both are just Michigan fans because of the Big Chill-esque mystique of randomly choosing a winning, storied college football program.

I remember 2 years ago. Great night, great tailgate, great crowd. Mostly the UM fans that night were from out west or were UM alums coming from the NY/NJ area. You could just tell by their looks and their reactions/accents etc.

I also spoke to a few - some from New York, many others from out west of NJ alums.

This year, I sat near a bunch of rugged, sloppy bearded, Walmart type people who proudly claimed they never went to college and kept saying "give it to peppers, give it to peppers" Plus, I saw all these dorks on my facebook from NJ, some of them RU grads even, saying "we" referring to Michigan and repping UM hard. The people in my section admitted they had never been to the University and not even the state of Michigan ever. Walmart Wolverines is a great description b/c that is the origin of most these guys. Whatever the marketing is with UM in NJ, it attracts hick heathens like ND attracts Italians and Irishmen who made confirmation.

It just goes to show how many losers there are in NJ, but the truth is they are legit LOSERS. since most don't even have a degree at all and lead a crappy life which is why they relish in the fact a huge school that is always in their face and stacked with successful alum and fans has to go through a bad day, and they can FINALLY try and claim some superiorty in something in life.

My one friend who is in my profession who actually went to UM and I have messed with him in the past about Turay blocking the kick, was at the game but didn't say anything negative to me or publically say anything bad at all.

F those clowns and F Michigan because of them.

Why yes, in a thread in which the entire Michigan fan based is generalized by 20 uninformed idiots in the stands I am 100% going to to hold Rutgers fans ot the quotings that were found! Wait, you're saying that logic only works when you do it? Oh damn, I'll try harder next time.

And folks, I present you with item 583 for "why the entire B1G uses the Rutgers fan base as their personal comedy show." I'll gladly be a Walmart Wolverine (Interesting description of me, given that I got into Michigan and went to a better program and have never stepped inside a Walmart) if it means I have an actual team to root for. Not whatever your program is.
