WrestleStat Week 2 Dual Comparisons

Week 2 is already here, looks like there will be a few good matchups this coming weekend. One of the highlights will be the Penn State vs Stanford dual, more specifically the matchup between true freshman Nick Suriano vs #8 Connor Schram. Will be a great early season test to help guage where Suriano is. My prediction, Suriano squeaks out a close win 3 - 2.

The Penn St - Stanford match is interesting in that their are some excellent matchups:

Nick Suriano vs highly ranked Connor Schram
Now this computer generated site has Suriano , who is a true freshman, ranked at 136, which is nuts, since he probably will be ranked in the top 8 by Christmas , losing to Schram 11-0. Most who follow wrestling expect Suriano to beat Schram , let alone be MD'd by him. Love the site anyway ! Good job

Also at 141 , PSU Gulibon vs McKenna (AA last year) an excellent bout

At 157 Nolf vs Fox could be very good, although Nolf is incredible and could beat him easy.

165 Vincenzo vs Subjeck a very good matchup

The wrestlestat site has PSU winning 25-13, but doubt very highly will be that close.

Yep, and as I've explained before, Suriano's ranking is because he doesn't have any college matches under his belt.

And because of that, the prediction will be skewed (both individual and team).
