Huge problem is timing. To be fair, it should take quite a bit of the season to allow the top programs to establish themselves. Say early to mid-February. This time of year teams are prepping for conferences tournaments and the NCAA. To ask wrestlers from four or eight top programs to wrestler in a hIghly competitive team tournament before the two most important tournaments of the year would be unfair.

I loved this new format...Gave the fans some matchups of top teams that we normally wouldn't have seen....Just watching VT upper weights take it Michigan was worth it right there...Smith getting a 2nd chance at the RAC after getting embarrassed by Coon.... Hope they keep it this way...

Not a huge Wrestling Fan, but Rutgers is doing a fantastic job. Is that because of the Seniors or the Coaching Staff. How will this team look next year? How did they look last year?

Maybe you should have asked this question before making your comment in the thread on the football board? Just a thought.

We only lose 3 seniors...But 3 good ones, as I believe over 200 career wins between them...Next years team will look a lot different...

125 McCabe will be a sr..
133 figure DelVecchio coming back off of redshirt as I cant see Giraldo holding 133 again
141 Don't see Ash adding weight to go 149
149 you would probably have 3 guys here if Giraldo fills out, and Theobold coming off redshirt... Along with Dippery being the returning starter...Sux being jammed up here, but its a good problem to have..
157 Lewis I don't think he has the frame for 165..
165 the $64,000 question...who replaces Perrotti? inside track is probably Pagano...But there will be a dropoff at this weight next year...
174 Bakuckas returns for his sr year... Hopefully he can put it all together...
184 Would love to see Gravina back at this weight...I thought in the beginning of the year he needed to get bigger at this weight...And I think he has, as he looks more filled out than in November..
197 Was supposed to be Hrymack...but had to take him out of redshirt after Campy quit....3 way battle between, Messner, Kremiller, and incoming frosh Mulligan is what I expect...
285 again.. replacing Smith just like Perrotti will be a tough task..is Correnti may be the 285 of the future.. But until then, I expect either Normandia... Or the transfer from Monmouth Football whose name escapes me..
Next year probably wont produce the team results... But look for a solid team finish at NCAA's with a good shot at multiple aa'S
