Wtf was Ace doing on last defensive possession?

Given all the hype leading up to this season it must go down in the annals of RU sports as one of the most disappointing. And we are not even into the B10 schedule yet. Oh, the despair. RU must get it right when hiring the next AD. Must get it right.
This is what scares me. Honestly thank God we have Amy Towers in the BOG because she understands athletics big time. You don't want another Bob Barchi setting athletics back a decade. Holloway was good for athletics but his own political beliefs ate him ironically.

last year Zack martini absolutely toasted our best player — Cliff omoruyi

This year — #1 on Princeton similarly toasted our entire team — including Zack martini. 21 pts, 11 assists. Contributing on 43 pts.

It’s not that we’re losing… it’s the way we’re losing. It’s gross.

Due to coaching. PERIOD. We got outcoached by mismatches and we didn't adjust to anything. Just no fight in our players to get through screens and stay with a man. No help side defense in sight. Its why we saw Zach eat up Cliff last year. First, Cliff is AWFUL on offense. Second, Zach was put in the right positions to eat Cliff up on Defense.

Just like the Bama and A&M losses - context matters.

If those games were lauded because they were close losses but to elite teams then close losses (and wins - SHU) to bad teams should equally be criticized.

It goes both ways.

This is of course assuming SHU and Princeton aren't peer teams this year and we should be better than them.
It's seemimg that assumption may not be totally accurate.
The A&M loss stings because we had that game in control and blew it.

Ya. You’re right. BUT! Let me just say this loud and clear. Getting dunked on isn’t a coaching problem. That’s a bigger effort, pride, competition problem

It was a response to a specific question speaking of context.

Disagree with that. Players have to be held accountable. Our guys way over extend and help D is nonexistent.

I couldn’t bring myself to watch the last possession again until now. You are right, Ace was clueless. Easy double opportunity

Mismatch for jeremiah too. We don't have a guy to d up a guy like Pearce. And that's not good.
Rutgers is a poor man to man defensive team which translates into easy baskets by a well coached Princeton team.

Rutgers should have played zone defense to stop Princeton from spreading the court allowing Pierce to dribble drive on a curl move to the basket with Dercack in no position to stop him.

Does Pike still talk about "sharing the game"? Because this team epitomizes the exact opposite. They don't play team basketball on offense or defense.
When have they ever ? It’s been ISO since Pike got here.
