His stay in West Virginia was a short one... seems as if he just announced his transfer from Arizana last week.
Lots of turnovers down the stretch last year and lost his starting role with Arizona, I would pass here.
Every day, you somehow come up with a take worse than your last one. Kerr would not give Rutgers two seconds of thought if they showed interest and YOU are passing on HIM? He would be a gigantic upgrade over any guard on the roster and would cost more than in NIL money than what the entire roster is getting combined this season.
On an unrelated note, I'd pass on Margot Robbie. Too skinny for me.
Depending on who WVU hires as head coach, it could start a chain reaction of transfer portal 30 day windows for guys leaving their teams with each new move and new hire.
Torvik has Kerr listed as a pure and scoring PG, I would think we need more of a combo
or shooting guard unless Derek and Jamichael become the 2s in our system could work.

I never saw him play, but....
He scored 9.9 ppg and shot 36% on 3's. And he played 31 minutes per game. He was good with 5 assists per game. All Career highs. Not exactly an All Conference stat line for him to think he is too good for Rutgers and the B1G.
He is from Estonia. Can he even get NIL money?

Another player who could be a good fit
Don't like Joe T. He is a 6'0 guard with questionable shooting skills. That's a nice way of saying bad.
he's good but not so good that he'd turn RU advances away.
He's just another gun for hire that's looking for a place to make a name for himself.

He’s a Rutgers type of player and would be a great complement to what we have. Excellent fit. I’d feel a ton better about our hole on perimeter defense if we added him.

Kerr was HORRIBLE down the stretch and he was 1-7 vs Princeton with 2 assists and 4 TOs.... averaged 10PPG, not all that, considering Arizona was a 2 seed.
Maybe 10PPG excites you, but losing to Princeton and playing 36 minutes and a no-show, doesn't excite me.....I actually watch games.....I wouldn't invest time or minutes in Kriisa.
Just don't love the idea of 4 guards 5'11, 6'0, 6'2 and 6'2. But, he is a great perimeter defender.

We shouldve went after him last offseason. He is a pike guy through and through. Elite quickness and tremendous defender

Kriisa separated his right shoulder in the PAC 12 tournament vs Stanford, and later in the same tournament vs UCLA suffered a cut on his right hand.. Both injuries affected his play and shooting after that, including in the Princeton game. Admittedly he did have some bad shooting nights occasionally during the season, but his upper body was really banged up during the tournaments at the end of the season, so his play at that time might not be the best example of his ability or talent.. He's always been a bit of a trash talker type though. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing if he should ever play for RU.

Hawk has it all figured out. Keeps telling us day in day out what a surplus of quality players remain out there as options. Still hasn’t mentioned one player he likes or any specific names as viable transfers for that matter. I’m waiting to hear who you think we can get and how much they can contribute. Saying hypothetical kids with such and such attributes doesn’t do us any good or support your stance. Who do you realistically think we will land at this stage in the off-season and what impact will they have on next years team?

I've never seen Kerr play but from the stats I've seen, I would take Fernandes easily over Kerr. Better 3% and actually adds some defensive numbers.
ETA I would think we should see if Kerr is interested too. Having a 4th G would be very helpful for this roster IMO.
Agreed last off season. Rather we went for someone with more size with Fernandes Davis and Simpson all small and/or slender and a better shooter since we lost Cam Paul and Oskar our top 3 in 3pt percentage
Anyone better seems to be getting massive NIL deals anyway. Not sure what people's expectations are at this point, but we need to fill out the roster with some B1G level contributors
Ironically, this is probably a much more absurd take than the one you replied to. I’d like Kriisa and wouldn’t pass on him but acting like he’s a shoo-in to be 1st or 2nd team All-B1G and wouldn’t give Rutgers the time of day is comical.

Touissant is a bull. Hes built like a brick shithouse. But you are correct, not a great shooter
If I’m not mistaken we’re set to go to war with six rotational players, razor thin at guard: Cliff, Wolf, Aundre, Gavin, Derek and Noah. Mawot might take til JAN to get healthy. Chol is a “?”. Davis, based on being a frosh and his scouting report would be gravy but can’t be counted on for certain. Last year depth was the major cause of our unraveling. I’d gladly take any two WVU players we could get, period. We’d be fortunate to get one. We’re beyond being picky saying “need a bigger guard who can shoot great”, etc etc etc.

We need guys but they still have to be a fit
High level defender and a pass first PG. Outside shot is not his strength but he is quick and can get to the rim. He doesn’t have to do everything to be a good contributor.
