I remember. I was there.

I've lost too many brain cells in the last 40 years to remember that detail. I do remember how exciting that season was from beginning to end.

I remember sitting at the kitchen table as a 10-year-old kid doing my homework during the first part of that game listening on the radio. What an absbolute thrill to have such an amazing team one town over from me. I still remember the special section the Home News devoted to the team, watching some of the games on something called the "TVS Game of the Week" from the Barn some Saturdays, and wondering who the hell "VMI" was when we got that far.

Kind of a bummer when you have your hometown college have such incredible basketball and football when you're 10 years old. Kind of gives you the wrong idea.
