I am so confused. Did we turn down the bid? Certainly RU would have gotten a bid...

That had to be it. We automatically would have been in. It should be mandatory to go.

Oh...

Bad look for Rutgers and CVIV here.

IMO more games would help this program. Oh well.

Wow lots of new folks here today. It is highly likely that CVS asked the team what they wanted.

Yes we will likely suffer through another frustrating and diappointing CVS season next year. Honestly, is next year's team going to be better than this year's team? She will get her 1000. Then, maybe it will be time for CVS and Rutgers to move on gracefully and amicably.

I hope that isn't so.because they rep the school and it shouldn't be their decision. If so then as I stated a week ago they didn't look like they wanted to play anymore.

The only way id be cool with this if it were delivered with a fu to the committee. But they already have no love for cvs and could care less.

RU was not the only P5 team to decline a WNIT invitation this year and not the only team to have ever declined a WNIT invitation. How about you guys go over to the USC board and dump all over Mark Trakh? Let him know how selfish he is being by not having his team in the WNIT.

I would bet that Coach Stringer's 1000th victory is not a major consideration for her personally. However, being so close to the milestone makes the topic inevitable. I bet she would like the opportunity for her 1000th win to be at a home game to share with the fans who have supported her. That opportunity would not exist in the WNIT, as I imagine they were expecting more wins at the end of the season than occurred at the time of WNIT bid submission. It is also not the first time a WNIT bid was declined by RU, and RU has not declined all WNIT bids. Each year is different.

Unless they had injuries it is a joke they are not playing. Younger players need more games.

most definitely because Tyler is gone next year as well as a couple of others and the remaining players need TONS of work at this level...

But they also risk the possibility of injury. think ACL. Also, as I just said in another thread I think Tyler was getting winded a lot so why risk any damage before the WNBA draft. None of the other Seniors/transfers will be playing anywhere.

Really?

You might get hurt? Then why play at all?

You know what I meant, you're a smart guy. It's a combo of many factors including but not limited to political BS at the committee level. I'd be happy to see later if Hobbs gives a statement.
