OT: EDIT for Poster; Liberty HC makes over $4M/year

A well resourced fbs program for sure but I find it hard to read this football news and not consider the context of it being a relevant anecdote which serves as a reminder in how Rutgers is doing nothing to try to ascend in football from a foundation/resource/structure/program/etc. level. And I don’t know if it’s worse that it’s by and large being ignored or that many people don’t care or see it that way.

OT: World Series in November = crazy.

162 game schedule I love. The longest pro sport season shouldn't have 3 or 5 game series determine who moves on. Hockey and basketball have 7 game series every round,,yes inside sports. Solutions if you have any, here's mine.Spring training is WAY to long cut it by 2 weeks. MLB is going to a balance schedule next year, so have cold weather teams open in domes and warm weather cities where possible. Better to play early season games in cold and inclement weather than the playoffs and World Series.Early season injuries happen every year coming out of spring training anyway so that's not an exuse. March 15th Opening Day, and 7 game playoffs every round, yes or no?

Why I’m Pretty Sure Frank Cignetti is our next offensive coordinator

Im pretty certain frank cignetti will be our next OC and it makes sense
- Prior relationship with GS
- Runs a complimentary offense of run/pass balance
- His style is best for the personnel we have. Lets be real, we dont have any wr’s next year and no speedy freak athletes are coming here to play WR after what we’ve done at that position for the past decade. So we’ll get bigger WR’s who arent as fast and can run block well and catch balls (sean ryans)
- Hes known as a very good qb coach and was a qb coach in the nfl
- with sam brown being by far our best player on O, we will see alot of snaps under center with a fullback and try to scheme our run game better. Inside zone exclusively being your running play aint gonna work. Heck, PSU broke out the tight T 5+ times yesterday.

It’s clear the offense needs to be blown up and run in a manner that best fits what we can get. Were not gonna out athlete anyone but weve been bringing in giants on the OL and the goal will be to outscheme teams in the run game with a crazy concept called counters and actually having a lead blocker. Take a look at what cignetti did at bc and pitt this year. Not GREAT, not bad but took what personnel he was given and made the best of it. BC collapsed when he left. Again, is he GREAT? No. Is he good? Yes. Will he get the most of our limited talent and make us competent? Yes. I believe hes the hire we will hear in december.

At every stop recently hes brought a hand picked transfer qb and made the offense look competent. That may be the case here too. We shall see

Transfers as Percent Starters

This is for 2020 and 2021. I wonder what the 2022 percent was for FBS? Rutgers had 8 of 22 that were transfers, 36%. Maybe higher because it was coming off a coaching change. I think USC had 26 transfers last year. Not sure what % started.

In 2020, 10.7% of FBS starters were transfers. This season, that number nearly doubled, to 20.9%, according to SportSource Analytics.

Question on Rutgers Fans Selling Hoops tickets?

I bought my 4 season tickets so i can go to every game. Is that just not the case as to why others buy them? There were so many indiana fans there today and clearly they bought from season ticket holders on stub hub. I understand that certain people cant make every game; but its really odd that on a day like today, many chose to sell, rather than attend? I know the prices and sure, i could have sold for probably $200 per ticket. But then i wouldn’t be going and would have missed a great win.

OT: Crime Dog Makes the HOF

Finally!!!! In something that I think was long overdue one of the 10,000 committees that can induct players now voted Fred McGriff unanimously into the HOF. 493 HRs, over 1500 RBIs and nearly 2500 hits.
I've always thought he belonged. A guy who came to work every day and was a model of consistency and a model citizen. You need 12 out of the 16 committee members. Mattingly received 6 votes.
Congratulations Crime Dog!!!!!!

In order to re-energize Rutgers Football, Greg Schiano must hire from the Outside

Pretty much nails it.

OT: R.I.P. - Daryle Lamonica

The Raiders "Mad Bomber" has passed away at age 80. Even in these pass happy times he's still the franchise record holder for most TD passes in a season.

For our younger fans.
