It is Official - Another Fantastic Honor and Accomplishment for Sebastian Rivera -

Sebastian Rivera will be the flag bearer for Puerto Rico at the Parade of Nations for the Paris Olympics. This prestigious honor will recognize not only his exceptional athletic abilities but also his embodiment of the spirit and values of the Olympics. Being the flag bearer serves as a platform to showcase one’s talent, dedication, and accomplishments on a global stage. The role of the flag bearer is a symbol of honor and distinction.

Sebastian has had a remarkable wrestling career, marked by numerous accomplishments. He was a NJ state champion, a four-time NCAA All-American, a two-time Big Ten Champion, and the only collegiate wrester to twice defeat Spencer Lee, a three-time NCAA, and two-time Hodge Winner. In September 2023 he earned the World Silver medal. This success is a testament to his consistent excellence and dedication to the sport.

Winning the Silver Medal at the World Championships would not have been possible without the unwavering support and expert guidance of coaches Pritzlaff and Buxton. After winning, Sebastian recognized their relentless commitment to developing his talent and fostering an environment of growth and success. As a result of his international success, Sebastian is projected to be the fourth seed at the Olympics.

New Jersey and Rutgers fans stand united in pride and support, and are confident that Sebastian’s journey will inspire future generations of wrestlers. It will be exciting to cheering him on in Paris. Congratulations Sebastian and thanks for motivating future wrestlers.

2024-25 roster

2023-24 roster has 30. Moore and Butler seem to be the only ones we know of that are done, which gets us to 28. With 10+ incoming recruits (I know of at least 1 or 2 walk-ons not listed on the roster spreadsheet pinned above), I'm guessing we'll see a lot of attrition, as it's unlikely we'll carry 40 or anywhere near that come Nov. Who else is leaving? Initial 2024-25 roster will probably be out soon over the next few days or weeks (last year I think it was 6/15), so we'll get some ideas then. Anyone know when it'll be up? There's already a drop down menu for it on sk.com but no updates.
