On November 15, 1902, a game with Delaware was moved up to 9:30 a.m. at Neilson Field so Rutgers fans could also attend (9-0-1) Yale at (8-0) Princeton later that day. Rutgers first beat Delaware 15-12 and then Yale defeated Princeton 12-5 in the defacto National Championship Game.
