Factor in JUCO's that will fit into a completely new offensive system, and the ability of current players adapting to new coaching philosophies, what do you think is the ceiling for this coming season? Since most if not all non JUCO players added by Ash, will probably red shirt, this win total will have to be reached by players all ready on the roster. If many on here feel the talent wasn't used correctly by Flood, then the win total could be impressive, in the 8 win range. If in fact, Flood brought in inferior talent, judging by recruiting rankings, then Ash might only get Rutgers to a 6 win type season in his first year, which would still be impressive considering the complete turn around of all things football.

Pridgeon seemed pretty definitely to have moved on. Never even took an OV here I don't think. Nassau CC coaches hate us for some reason.

The bigger issue with JuCos is getting their credits accepted. Either way I expect a big class and more kids to leave post spring practice then usually.

Other than a couple Schiano brought in during his early years RU seldom goes the JUCO route. Don't think that'll change under Ash. As many have pointed out over the years, it's a Rutgers admissions issue.

Forget about JUCO's - RU's requirements are harder than most in letting them in.

I think next year will come down to how much the schemes change on offense, how well the personnel fits the offensive schemes, and how well the offensive line comes together whatever the scheme is.

With what we saw this year. loss of some top players and all of the changes in leadership. I cannot see us doing much of anything in '16. As already mentioned, our schedule will not be nearly as friendly. Four wins may not be possible.

Think we win more than four games. Defensive line should be good and secondary better.

RU has had more success with 5th year senior transfers than JUCO players. I hope they pick up 1 or 2.

2016 less talent, new offense, probably new defense schemes, tougher schedule = less wins. Why don' we try reasonable expectations for a change, and hope for over achievement?

I loved Chad Bosch but that was 20 years ago. I doubt that many of the people at NCC or the relationship with RU are the same as it was when Bosch came to RU.

I don't see RU as a big rebuild in the least. Are we ready to challenge for the B1G East title? Not close. But there is enough returning talent, experience, and depth to expect a 6-6 season, plus or minus a game, in my opinion.

I think between 3-5 wins. If we get 5 and see steady improvements he last half of the season, it will give me hope for 2017.

Anything can happen, but I think people who expect 6 or more wins are setting themselves up for disappointment. We won't have much depth anywhere. So injuries will be more problematic than they should be. New offense to learn.

A new, young coaching staff will experience some growing pains. Linebackers will be young. The secondary will get excellent coaching, but will be asked to play a completely different style negating much of the one season's experience they gained in 2015.

The schedule is at least as hard as this season, if not harder. I'm gonna celebrate each win and will generally be very patient as the Ash era gets underway. Hopefully I can also be patient with the sky is falling crowd that will be large and loud.

We have 67 scholarships players right now (With Ford leaving included along with graduating seniors and Brodie leaving). Duggan just did an analysis on this. We have 13 commits and the NCAA limit is 85. So we can only accept 5 more kids on scholarship unless some others leave as well.

Our new OL coach was a JUCO. I don't think we should go after a whole bunch of them, but one or two might help us.

Saw Duggan piece I think he's off a little and he doesn't take transfers into account. Figure we can take 8 more because at least 3 more will transfer based upon history.
There are a few guys that missed the entire season. Some may not get back medically. Some juniors may leave after spring practice.

JUCO's at RU get killed on credit transfer, their JUCO courses must be similar in structure and content as the same course at RU for them to transfer credits. This can also create eligibility problems if not enough credits transfer this has It always been a problem and not likely to change.

I'm thinking we go 4-8. Best case scenario: Hamilton comes back better than ever, Turay is healthy and has a big Junior season, and Coach Ash's new schemes and attitude leads to a 7-5 season. Realistically, this is a team built on a few terrible recruiting classes that has a scary back 7 and even scarier depth issues.
