The best LB core in many year, 5 solid guys! All recruiting is a crap shoot where if you are right 50% of the time that good. Just by that statistic we will have at least 2 good one. But I see Manning, Battle, and Pollock as a great trio. No comment on Williams or Lumor as I have not seen any tape on them.
Nice job on WRs. Using the 50% crap shoot rule, I see Gray, Jabbie as good gets as for Bailey and Bah surprise me. Do like Bailey speed and eyes/cuts in the open field. Never saw Bah
QB; one but a super get! After the Russo lost it did break my heart, as I have said for year we get a great QB we will be a contender. I thought we had it in Anthony. Ash in 4 weeks pulled a rabbit out of the hat. And a national recruit, nice Job by Ash
RB; one real good get. Enough said solid pick up.
OL; they are like big balls of clay, a great coach can make mountains out of mole hills. NJ has always had some big hard nose linemen. It is just that the great one go someplace else. And as always, there iare left over linemen all over the state. Most end up at northeast Dll schools and do handsomely. Blazek’s talent will be seen thru Krimin, Maietti, Lonsdorf and Howson’s development.
DL; one national recruit with size and brains (offers from Army, Tulane and Wake) fortunately not an area of concern. Hope he red shirts and put on some beef.
Graduate transfers we have always been successful here, I expect no less. Both will contribute immediately and provide fillers in our gaps until the youth develop.

Just curious, who do you see, if anyone, starting as a true freshman from this class? My opinion, Manning will play special teams early and maybe get on the field later in the season to add depth at LB and maybe KJ Gray since there is some lack of depth at DB and he seems to be a solid athlete. I don't see anyone else whether due to their current size or current depth at the position that would need to burn a redshirt.

LB's will get onto the field even if only ST's and mop-up/late game duty. Serious lack of experienced depth at the position (lost all 3 starters).

Maybe pollock is physically ready since he is an early enrollee but i just don't see the other guys being physically or mental ready...but you are correct special teams is a natural place for
Linebackers to start gaining experience.

Ash said these players will need to prove themselves on specials before the move to their positions. Look for some of the LB's there first.

I really like the athleticism of the linebackers in this group and they will all have the opportunity to contribute on special teams and perhaps see spot action in the rotation later in the year. Turner is also interesting, he is so quick off the ball it is astounding, he reminds me a lot of Meekins, I think he could see spot action situationally on passing downs once he gets acclimated. The o-linemen are all long and lean and young and will require time, RS for all. Sneed maybe on special teams but probably RS.

With all of the depth at RB I just don't think burning Sneads redshirt for some special teams play is smart, remember the only RB from last years class (Snorweah) has already moved over to defense, RU will need that depth down the road but not this year or next year. Isn't Turner a DT, I think it's a lot easier for guys to play early on the DLine as ends, he will need to build much more weight and strength if he is a DT, if he is an end; then perhaps based on lack of quality depth he might see some time.
