Watching his tape I noticed that he took on the punting responsibilities for his team as well which seemed to have employed a rugby style punt and he was booting the ball.
Being that as it stands we don't have a punter for next year I wouldn't be surprised to see us get a big bang for our buck in Alex Barbir as he could potentially take on both kicking duties and punting duties (as long as we go rugby).
By the way, I think we'll all appreciate the fact that his highlight tape is full of all his kickoffs landing out of the end zone and some even through the up-rights. We'll finally have a kicked who can kick the hell out of the ball on kickoffs. In fact, 92% of his kickoffs were touchbacks this year, which lead the entire nation amongst high school kickers.
