Just looked at our Offers List for ‘19 and there do not seem to class of ‘19 grads we’re seriously in the game for. Is this correct?

If this is the case I guess we’re looking at a juco or 5th year guy, preferably a big, to fill a gap. Yes? No?

There's Skogman and Pearson who we've just offered recently. It seems to be that the staff put a lot of eggs in the Massoud basket so they're a little behind for 2019 guys (because they were heavy on 2020 and 2021). I definitely wouldn't expect any commits in the fall.

There's only one scholarship open, and while you never know what might happen, there's only one player I could see transferring out, so it should remain at one. Then in the spring we'll have options. High school guys (Hyatt, Strickland, and McConnell were three we targeted this past spring), maybe a JUCO breakout guy, plus Pikiell has been pretty active in the transfer market.

I'd be more worried if there were two spots to fill instead of one.

I would like to see us hold off on giving the last ship until the spring. Coaches get fired, kids de-commit. Lots can happen. If we have a surprise season it could open things up for us. No rush with just one ship left.

Paul Mulcahy should be signing in this early signing period for the class of 2019.

Don't rely on the Rivals database for anything basketball. They are notoriously way behind updating anything basketball. The JUCO Ugboh and the kid from Wisconsin are two examples off the top of my head that are not in the database.

I think they would take Pearsonor or Skogman this fall if either wanted to commit. It is reasonable to think a spot could open up in the spring.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. But I agree on JuCo players.

We definitely need a JuCo guy. Once we lost Bret Swanson of JuCoJunction.com our JuCo coverage has lagged. I think they just use the budget for that spot to add a football Regional analyst period but I'm not 100% sure that.
