States will take some people away from attending, but this will be a primo ticket with many NJ fans in the seats IMO.



I don't recall much of a Whisky contingent of fans during their visit to the RAC in January and I'm thinking attendance this far away from home won't go up tremendously for the B1Gs. Similarly, with Rutgers 2X NC success this year, I still see a good drop off in RU fan attendance for the 2020 NCAAs due to the longer travel.

The NCAAs could have been held in Oregon this year and I would have attended because there was a strong feeling history was going to be made. While I agree distance traveled is a big component in a normal year, having both Ashnault and Suriano as 2 strong national contenders coupled with Ashnault's final undefeated season run absolutely had a draw for the RU fan base.

Fair enough. I guess I was only speaking to overall home attendance.

You may have to plan your bathroom breaks strategically but a standing-room-only RAC will be such fun fan experience for Big Tens. All the Iowa fans will say it should've been held in the Carver-Hawkeye Arena but who cares? Packed gyms filled with diehards is the absolute best way to watch wrestling. Both Final X's were great because the fans knew exactly what was going on. It was better than any NCAA finals crowd I've been to, even though it was much smaller numbers, imo. Now imagine doubling the Final X: Rutgers crowd for Big Tens..

BIGs 4 raised mats in center of RAC viewable from all seats. Some sections will be moved back to accommodate the mat placements (will be different then when RU hosted EIWAs). Not every team getting the same ticket allocation. RU of course getting more then it’s fair share.
