This is ridiculous. Come on people. Get real. If Rutgers goes .500 next year, we should erect a statue of Pikiell. Every time we get a new coach or new recruit, this same rhetoric comes up. We are not going .500 next year. What we need to see is legitimate improvement on the court, in the weight room and yes, in the win-loss column, too. But .500 would likely mean sweeping the nonconference slate, and that ain't gonna happen.

Agreed. Sure, you try to win them all and I hope to see a high energy team that plays smart, but we just don't have the horses to finish 0.500, unless some surprise infusion of talent occurs.

If our out of conference scheudle is as easy as I expect it to be, can easily have 9 wins heading into big ten play assuming sanders and Freeman are playing, along with Johnson, some improvement from others, and of course coaching improvement....then only have to win 5 games in big ten..

At least let Pikiell set the final roster and go through some off season workouts before making predictions. Guys can improve a lot.

There are some metrics that i would want to see improved (actually all of them). If we can move in the 80-120 range in defensive efficiency I'll be very pleased. That would lay an on the court foundation. Putting the ball in the basket will be the furniture.

no one knows, how good is Johnson? Does Williams improve? Can Foreman finish at the rim? People come to home games and actually make some noise so we have a good home court.

I agree with RUFAN4LIFE- .500 is a pipe dream- We will probably have more players leave the program- which will help in the long run. The first year I want to see maximum effort from the players. I want to see players showing up for workouts and weight room with enthusiasm, wanting to get better everyday. I want to see an steady improvement and an NCAA appearance in year 4.
