For those of us that lived through the Schiano era, we are in familiar territory.
We had a few years of embarrassment and then everything started to click when Coach Schiano got his players on the field. The Ash era is just beginning and is no different.
Fortunately, Coach Ash has a lot more talent than Coach Schiano inherited when he took over the Rutgers Football Program.
Rutgers schedule so far this year is unprecedented (four ranked teams in the first 6 games), but the good news is that a NEW SEASON BEGINS today.
All Big Ten teams remaining on our schedule have shown weakness at times and a few have depth chart issues due to injuries...as well as our division teams have not yet played Ohio State and Michigan.
I have every confidence in our Coaching staff to show progress during the final six conference games and to hold on to most of our talented recruits.
