A Nod to Pike

It’s been said but I felt he deserves his own thread.

Pike’s patience with giving key PT to guys like Young, Mathis, McConnell and Mulcahy, even when it wasn’t a given they could consistently produce, has really paid dividends.

And cultivating the psyche of Ron Harper, giving him the green light in so many starts since last year, put Ron in a position to be confident in the end game tonight.

Kudos to our head coach.

Yes. Kudos to Pike. Also great coaching adjustment at halftime. He had our kids drive to the basket causing PSU to foul and for us to get easy buckets. The adjustment changed the entire complexion of the game.

He has the Knights playing to their strengths. Can't shoot 3s? Pound the ball inside, take medium jumpers and crash the glass.
Not to mention in your face defense.

Pike did a great job that 2nd half and the last few weeks trying to sort out minutes and substitutions. He trust his players more too, you can see it
