HahahaBased on his Twitter photo, I am surprised Franklin didn't try and hire him.
I wonder in what capacity? His profile says "Rutgers Recruiting #RUallin", so I'm guessing he's got a job here.
Oh wow, so I caught the change fairly recently thenJust changed earlier in the night, still said OSU around 8pm,
Not likely - considering this has played out quite professionally. Would guess that Ash gives a heads up & Meyer gives his blessing.So....not that Meyer will hackle difficulty replacing staff but I wonder if Ash's raid of tOSU will cause any animosity between the two??
Not for nothing, the bulk of the damage was done by the time EJ was hired. His hiring was, in part, an attempt to overcome the hard feelings created by Flood's heavy handed approach towards commits the cycle before. You remember the whole "we won't save scholarships for commits that visit other schools" fiasco. That alienated many of the hs coaches in the state, and nothing short of regime change would have given us a clean slate with those guys. I think he could have done a lot better had he not been handicapped by all that baggage from the outset.
Doesn't mean I think he should stay or go, I don't have any skin in the game, but in fairness the guy was put in here like a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. Unwinnable situation, IMO
So we can expect to see a story on nj.com as soon as they see this thread, yeah?
Yeah - ... and bet this is the title : "Five things you need to know about Adam Caltury"
They just can't seem to get enough of those 'five things' articles
It's how you handle it that Flood didn't know. Flood shouldn't have confronted the recruits but should have continued to recruit for the position and assume he was leaving. In the end, you take back his offer if you have to many commits.I find this so amusing because Flood actually did what probably a significant majority of posters on here said should be done - which was to say that if you are still looking you aren't committed and we will feel free to replace you. And it completely blew up in his face, and likely ruined any chance he had of success here. Says something about how meaningful the general point of view is.
not a terrible ideaWonder if Barthel could become new RB coach?
By hiring Ash Rutgers has become a fast follower
I had to google for the term......interesting stuff....

Also....
I've been reading up all kinds of old links on Adam, and, as the links from earlier in the thread go, it looks like he educated himself on the ins and outs of the big time recruiting process and set himself up for this kind of work just by "representing" one of his players, who was the top player Western PA and a national five star recruit......Robert Foster, who ended up going to Alabama.
It looks like just in the process of dealing with recruiters all the time, Adam educated himself on the exact kind of work......and I guess he applied right to the big boys.
It's funny how with Partridge and Michigan being idiots, Jersey folks might actually start seeing Ohio State with kinder eyes than they have in the past.By hiring Ash Rutgers has become a fast follower
Gotta say I pretty much hate that latest ad sales technique. Even respectable websites are getting into it now. Why put a few ads on a single page that lists all 30 reasons when you can sell dozens more ads and generate that many more page hits by forcing visitors to click through 30 page loads, all of which are slow-loading on mobile devices due to all the freaking ads on each page. Its funny, they still aren't up to speed with your average tabloid website. Headline is supposed to be "30 Reasons Adam Caltury Won't Succeed at Rutgers.....You won't believe what #19 is."
