I hate to state the obvious but jwill can’t be a major part of any big ten team that’s gonna be good.

which would mean not any one else on the roster would either. Hayes, Martini and Davis would be ushers, Sommerville and Derkack the far end of the rotation and Grant/Acuff 5 minute per game players.

You may not like Williams, but he is a good defender, far better than anyone named above.

If you don't have NIL $ and you have 2 18 year olds that are going to have the ball in their hands to get the 20 PPG those spots aren't that attractive.

That's ridiculous. Why would they want to pay for anything from a rival including academics? Because it's the fricking State University and that's what you do!

I think the only way you get away with that is if we're coming off a successful season and I highly doubt that's gonna happen at this point. I agree with you that it's needed though.

It’s not complicated. 1 - recruiting was sub par so there wasn’t a deep foundation and 2 these wasn’t nil beyond Dylan and ace to attract better players. How much did you donate?

IIRC Bob Mulcahey called a press conference to announce our slick new young coach from Hofstra… that sped up the process for Villanova letting Steve Lappas go and “stealing” Wright before that press conference happened. BTW Wright was a former Villanova assistant (under Massimino I think) and his wife is a Villanova alum. They probably paid him a lot more than what we offered as well.

Jay Wright is 100% right. Pike got caught up making a deal with the devil when they should have been staying in his own lane. Its a mistake he will never make, one I do not think he ever will get another opportunity to have 2 of the top 10 players in one class and two he will make sure he learns his lesson

in retrospect we all should have known but got blinded by the hype. 18 year olds vs 23 year olds.

The #2 ranked team in the country is starting 3 freshman, a sophomore and a junior. Seems to be working fine . . .
