Not sure if Charlotte game will be played. Noticed Brown scheduled after Maryland game. ¿Psychological boost after expected big loss?

Using the adapted Pythagorean expectation that I have used in previous years, for 29 games, RU´s expected record is 18-11. At this point, 10-8 in conference looks pretty good to me. RU has underperformed this prediction in the past, but I remain forever hopeful.

Hope for better. That is not an NCAA tourney type record. I don't think the B1G is deep enough that one can have 8 "good" losses. And a win against one of the better teams would go far. Without predicting, I hope for nothing less than 12 and 6.

This team is capable of something special but it’s so hard to win 1 game, let alone 12 but we need to try. Every minute of every game is important, can’t rely on talent alone. I hope we get the Charlotte game played for (1) hopefully an easy win to pad the record, and (2) I work in Concord 5 mins from the Charlotte campus and I wanna see the ladies !! Lol

RU plays Maryland, Minnesota, and Indiana twice. If RU ends up fifth or sixth behind the four teams in the polls and Indiana, I will be happy--if we at least split the games with Indiana. I will have to see the results of the first few conference games before adjusting my prediction. I think the B1G is good for five teams in the tournament and could possibly squeeze in a sixth.

With their three losses to ranked teams (VT is getting votes), I will not expect them to beat any of the BIG elite since the lost games were not really that close. Right now, 4 BIG schools are ranked in the top 25 and we will play a total of 6 games against them. Also have to assume we will lose a couple of games to unranked teams since we have shown some real problems in second halves and a lack of big number scoring.
Conservatively, I think we will be 10-8.
