As a 49ers fan, its sad to see him go, if he never comes back to the team. Whenever he was healthy, he was arguably the best RT in the game and easily our best lineman (Staley got all the hype, but he was the one that got beat by speed and bull rushers the easiest of the two). I wish him well and hope he can recover from the concussion issues he's been dealing with the past two years.

Happy AD is taking care of himself. This would have never happened in the NFL 10 years ago - with awareness about concussions are players really taking a look at themselves, and thinking about things past age 35. Good to see players making educated decisions more and more.
