Any updates on Russo at Elite 11?

Wait... So you're saying that the kid half the board moaned about is an Elite 11 QB?
Were are all the Gurus from this board that have said that Russo was a Plan B or C?
Come on, speak up!! Many of you guys don't even take the time to look at film and just go by stars. Russo one of the top 18 QBs by independent scouts not Rivals or Scout who are biased and have little scouting ability.

Well it looks like Anthony didn't make it to the finals but i love this kid and am proud of how he represented R U and look forward to his 4 years on the Banks.
Could someone confirm this, I thought I saw that some qb's were already guaranteed a spot in the finals whether they earned it or not this weekend.
I hope your right R U 205. That would be awesome but either way Anthony and Mike Dare are great QB additions to R team going forward.

I was listening to the broadcast and I heard them say 18 will go to the finals. But the broadcast ended?!?!?
I watched a fair amount of the broadcast. It was the most ridiculous waste of time. They showed practically zero live action. It was 98% interviews and more or less an infomercial for their Elite 11 organization and events.
I agree, it was dreadful, I tuned in about 3 different times this weekend, nothing but verbal diarrhea.
On second thought maybe not a good idea to link to another message board here. In any event our boy apparently was terrific 7 on 7 today bouncing back from yesterday. Way to go Anthony.

Considering Russo has only 1 yr as a h.s. starter under his belt I'd say this is a very impressive showing against high-level competition that likely have 2-3 yrs experience as starting QBs. Very good sign for Russo and RU. I was also wondering--but too lazy to google&research--if RU has ever had an Elite Skills QB recruit. I guess Rettig could've been.
This was one of his throws on the day. Good touch and accuracy. Hear some oohs and aahs in the background.
IIRC read an article when Rettig transferred to us where Rettig turned down attending an Elite 11 camp to help out a teammate running routes during a Cal visit.
I never complained or moaned or anything like that when it came to recruiting this season, however wouldn't those "gurus" technically be correct? we went after Russo after being declined by DH and JG, thus making him plan B or plan C and we wouldn't have offered him if either of DH or JG had committed here.
i get what you are trying to say, but there is no shame in him being plan B or plan C for us. we went after 2 national recruits and missed out, and our 3rd option is top 11. I'd say that's pretty good.
We offered Russo before JG and DH made their decisions. That's not to say what Plan he was for us, but its a fact.
All three were offered and its been stated that Russo had a commitable offer the whole time. I get your pt, but have also heard he could have said yes straight up.

Yep, no saying good things or getting hopeful about anything involving RU on here anymore! I sure hope Penn State has a great recruiting class and Franklin tears it up this year. That's all I'm allowed to say according to these rules.
