Stadium entry still sucks

I tailgate in the silver lot, leave at 11:15 and get to this gate around 11:35. I was in by 11:45 because I had time to go to the bathroom and then watch the team come out of the Hale Center before they went into the stadium.

It sound like literally a matter of minutes before the traffic starts to backup. I would try that newer gate next to the West entrance that wraps around the fence and pathway. That seems to move at a decent pace.
I used that one for Whisky and unless they made the fence longer or put a guard there (which they may have done because they saw the problem). People weren't going up and wrapping around but merely being selfish and cutting left into the front of the line.

Some of this is the lack of traffic control and some of this remains peoples inability to use the phones or follow the rules. Scanners still having issues scanning doesn't help either.

Why Rutgers doesn't truly engage some fans in the solutions process.. since I get never ending canned post game surveys ..just frustrated the hell out of me

Paid $4000 plus for 4 tickets and told Nick. Who called me to sell me tickets. Did not call them. I wanted scarlet parking. He said yes you will get it no problem. Done deal. That was last winter.

Time comes and I have no parking. Same thing happened a few years ago. Lifetime priority points were not important at all.

I have a hundred other things to spend time and $ on. RU F off. I’m done with this mickey mouse nonsense. Good luck. can I get my $ back?

You paid $1000 a ticket and didn’t get parking?

I smell a whole lotta BS in that post.

At River Road entrance my friend was stopped for wearing a belt bag. The lady said it was "too big." He was fooled bc last week he was merely searched and passed through. When I got to my seat the ADA arrangement wasn't honored. It's too much effort to drag my arthritic knee around. I'm done with SHI.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

The entrance time at that gate has only gotten worse year over year.

There’s major room for improvement.

It’s starts with making the formal line start earlier, add more detectors and more people to scan tickets.

These simple changes would go a long way to improve the experience.
More people to scan tickets and fewer than 8 parking attendants in the black lot, six of whom are doing absolutely nothing week after week. Some are so brazen that they just sit on the grass. Total waste of money to pay them all.

They weren’t even checking passes in the Black lot earlier on the season. Lot filled up, probably with some folks who didn’t even have passes.

Where do these ticket scanners stand? They are positioned at all the entrances. The east gate doesn’t have room for more scanners.

The West gate is certainly a better option but since I am in pain walking and standing it doesn't work for me. Rutgers has no options for cripples like me.

Btw..thank you to @BKIn118 who continues to be a first class guy for taking the time to ask if I was ok while trying to walk out on sat.
Rutgers proposed option will be something like this. . . . .

Do you have proof or just stirring the pot?

Is me driving right into the lot and them not checking my pass enough proof?

Or talking to a friend who used the lot the following game who also didn’t get his pass checked and witnessed people driving around that couldn’t find spaces?

I’m not one to make $hit up dude.

Are you saying they are not checking parking passes in the black lot or they didn’t check yours once? I drove in the yellow lot for the Akron game with my pass being scan. They attendants thought the person in front did it already. I’m sure you didn’t make up the story about people didn’t scan your pass but how do you know the lot is full of people who didn’t have passes?

There were about 6-8 total people at the Black Lot entrance. Almost all of them were sitting down and none of them were checking passes for the couple cars in front of me as well as my pass.

The following week I received a similar report from my friend who also had a similar experience and mentioned that people were driving around looking for spots that didn’t not appear to available.

My assumption is that because they weren’t checking passes, or at the very least were not checking them for periods of time…folks entered the lot who did not have passes. I think this is a pretty reasonable assumption. Why do I think this is reasonable? Because there are tons of people who drive onto Busch with no pass and think they can find parking. I often see people try to get into lots only to be turned away because they don’t have passes.

I also parked in the Yellow Lot multiple times this year and it is a completely different experience. The cop made me flash my pass before turning into the lot, it was then scanned and I was directed exactly where to park by about 3-4 people.

East gate had 2 ticket scanners per line last year. Pretty much just 1 this year. Most of the time there are only 2 overall for the non-club lines.

In regards to Yellow lot, there are only 3-4 scanners. Not sure you need more but once in the lot the parking has definitely been slower this year for some reason.

They did at one point.

And I’m pretty sure some of those who were asked still post here.

The silver lot scanners were not scanning people entering either. They were just looking at the silver pass picture on the phone.
