It would be nice if he were to come clean. I would take him at his word and tend to believe him but the other disproven claims he made add doubt. If Crackers is what he says, he should be proud of his record. I haven't had any issue with his posts until he gets involved in a childish pissing match with people like Harley. My joke about Harley being MVB's mom was reflecting on that suggestion made quite some time back. I thought it was funny. It's a shame when some people can't disagree without resorting to insults and name-calling. I've always seen that as a lack of maturity and intellectual capacity.
Mike: I don't know your role, involvement, or relationship with the program but it seems you have more information than most. As you might know from reading here, I have sensed an issue with JoJo and asked frequently what was going on. It had crossed over to being secretive. If we are not to know the status of wrestlers, then that should be explained. If you can do more, that would be great. I consider JoJo to be a tragic loss.

I was like most fans and super excited when JoJo signed and rooting hard for him to do very well. BUT, it happens at every program where recruits ranked higher or as high as JoJo do not pan out. Cornell has had tons of higher ranked recruits or recruits ranked just as high as JoJo and nobody ever says "wow whats wrong with Cornell coaches etc."
It is more obvious here, because we do not get 1-2 kids ranked that high every year, Cornell does, Penn State does and they have plenty that never work out. Just the perils of D-1 wrestling.
You are way off base ..WNG definitely knows what he is talking about..he has his finger on the pulse of this team more then anyone here...what he said about Jojo was spot on at the time ..it was not bullshit nor was it something he knew nothing about ...the kid made his choice for whatever reason and that's his right ..there is no wrong or right here ...let's move on instead of playing the blame game .
You don't have to prove anything to anybody least of all this guy who has attacked you,denigrated your skills and your heart from day one to the point he challenged two parents who stood up for you ...you don't owe this guy anything ..go live your life and don't ever forget what you have accomplished which is miles more then most of the naysayers here who think they know it all..good luck !

My man, you come to this board with an agenda constantly. No one even ripped JoJo. This board has been overwhelmingly supportive of his decision. He came on here to clarify some comments allegedly made by his girlfriend, and just about everyone has accepted it, wished him the best, and moved on.
For some reason you’ve acted like this board is ripping the kid because it plays into your made up persona of being all these kids internet bodyguard. You constantly come on here and derail threads, and instigate and feed trolls, and it’s honestly just as annoying and equally as pathetic. I appreciate your support for the program but my god you and Crackers both need to grow up.

@JArgonon1 Jo Jo, go be you. The important thing is to live life to its fullest but always remember that 10-15 years from now you don’t want any regrets. You have a god given skill and reached a level most in this sport never attained. I didn’t have a tenth of your skill, but walked away my junior year and years later regretted it. Be good.
Today ..yes..of course it's been overwhelming but in the past..lol..not so much ...coaches get questioned. Kids effort or commitment gets questioned incessantly and the conspiracy theorist regarding Jojo and his whereabouts was ridiculous and and now the kid comes here to confront some of what's been said and ..that's shameful in my opinion ...if someone disagrees with your little fraternity they are labeled trolls ...the immaturity of some of you is laughable ...

Knowing things about the program doesn't give me the right to post on the forum. Keeping things secretive about the program are out of respect for the coaches and the wrestlers. Any issues that JoJo may have with his family are personal and shouldn't be a topic on this forum. JoJo is a great young man and I wish him the best. I enjoyed watching him train in practice and wrestle for RU.
Thank you, Mike, for your reply. I don't think I ask for personal information of that nature. My interest is in knowing what is going on with the program and the wrestlers relative to wrestling. When information is not made available and begins to look secretive, it invites speculation, which leads to some of the talk we've seen here. There must be some meaningful information that can be shared that fits between silence and revealing personal information. A wrestler who is suddenly missing from the line-up and/or discussion raises questions.
Perhaps it would be helpful if we (I) understood what is to be expected from this discussion forum. Several here might say cheerleading only, no criticism. Others might be open to critical assessment but we all should agree to keep that on a constructive level without personal attacks.
I have been looking to this group to provide information about the program and the wrestlers' progress. Without a discussion forum like this, there is little or no way for me to follow the team in any enthusiastic way. I could watch the few matches that are televised or read the little that gets published but beyond that, it would be hard to really feel connected. There seems a big disconnect when I hear talk about growing the fan base and then experience a lack of information. So, what can I reasonably expect from this forum?
You’ve been on the forum long enough to know what to expect. People share what they know, like, think, etc.
The sport as a whole needs to improve communication with the fan base, I agree. I don’t think things are being kept secret, I think the sport just sucks when it comes to communication.
Kid doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. Dad way off for posting anything negative about his son on a forum/internet. That being said hope he repairs the relationship with his dad, and gets on the right path emotionally. Sounds like wrestling a very small piece of the pie to getting on the right track - it's just the most public one. Good luck young man - do what you need to do to be Ok for YOU - don't worry about what other people think. Best of Luck!
Yup, I know what to expect here but I'd like to see more. I don't relate well to "the sport just sucks when it comes to communication" type acceptance of the status quo. I seek improvement over complacency.
What information are you looking for? I won't update the forum on injuries, that should come from Goodale during his podcast shows. I'm open to critical assessment but we should keep it to a constructive level without personal attacks.
