Are we ranked in the next AP poll?

We should have been ranked last week. This team has been underrated, and it is hard to move up in the ranking when there is a strong perception.

Depends if the teams from 21-30 lost this week or not. It's definitely possible we don't get ranked.

Doesn't really matter to me. My eye is on the tourney prize. Rankings are cool, but I want to see wins.

Over the weekend #19 Michigan, #20 Colorado, and #21 Ohio State lost. #25 Creighton lost earlier in the week. I think it depends on how much that hurts and who other ARV's beat.

#21 Ohio State, #25 Creighton and #20 Colorado each had losses this week, so they should drop out. #19 Michigan also lost to Minnesota and Iowa, and they should definitely drop out.

We are deserving of top 25 but AP voters and even perhaps some coaches will refuse to put us in... a horrific bias will remain until we get to the Dance and win a few... all one needs to know is the hatred towards NJ / NY by midwesterners and southern hillbillies... honestly I hope we aren’t ranked and win our next 3-4... then piss on them.

We belong, no doubt. We lost by 3 at a now-ranked Illinois team without our captain. If we were named Indiana, we would be in. Problem is someone like Iowa that was ahead of us in votes will also pick up a lot from their wins during the week. Our total will rise dramatically but not sure if we will be in the top 25 tomorrow.

If we sweep again this week at Iowa and versus Nebraska, there will be no doubt about it.

I think it’s good PR for NCAA for RU to be ranked ...

Our history of not being ranked might cause voters to say”I don’t want to put them in only to have to drop them when they lose next week.” We deserve to be ranked but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Seton Hall is 18....we should be top 25.
Seton Hall should be higher than 18 since they defeated Butler that was number 6 in the rankings.Yes,Rutgers should be ranked but those voting will continue to favor teams that have been there before.

We should be in the high teens - doesn't matter whether teams in that range did not lose. Our resume is better - voters who waited to vote for us with a show me attitude will step up for us.

Spot on comments which just shows the obstacles Rutgers must overcome in rankings and receiving a NCAA bid.

are we sure this game is figured in?....when do they vote?

15. Michigan State - Safe (1-0 this week)
16. Wichita State - Out (0-2 this week)
17. Maryland - Drop (1-1 this week but loss was close at Wisconsin)
18. Seton Hall - Safe (2-0)
19. Michigan - Drop, possibly out (0-1, lost at Iowa)
20. Colorado - Out (blown out at Arizona)
21. Ohio State - Out (lost big to Penn State)

22. Memphis - Safe (2-0)
23. Texas Tech - Safe
24. Illinois - Safe
25. Creighton - Out (lost to Georgetown)

So definitely four spots, maybe 5.

Ahead of us in RV to move in:

Iowa - Yes
Stanford - No (thanks USC!)
Arkansas - No (1-1)
Indiana - No (lost to us)
Virginia - No (1-1)
Penn State - No (1-1)
LSU - Probably (2-0)
Arizona - Probably (2-0)
Wisconsin - No (1-1)
Liberty - No (2-0 but B10 wins > ASun wins)
Northern Iowa - No (Same as Liberty but MVC)
Purdue - No (0-1)
Washington - No (1-1)
Duquesne - No (2-0 but same as Liberty)

Iowa, LSU, Arizona, and Rutgers should move in.
