Are we ranked in the next AP poll?

He ranked us #25 last week after a loss so he could be ahead of the curve (look at me!) and then we comfortably win 2 games this week and he only moves us up 2 spots. In the eyes of the voters, the RAC is probably actually hurting us because people feel like it's giving us a monster advantage. Thing is, this is actually just a damn good team, regardless of venue. Christ, look at the Big Ten standings. Guess who our two league losses were against? #1 team Michigan State on the road in what was a fairly competitive game and #2 (tied with us) Illinois who we only lost to by 3 on the road without our best player. It's kind of a joke that we're crying about trying to sneak in the Top 25 when any other Big Ten team with our record would be much higher already.

I also suggest don't look at these poll guys, they are half wits and simpletons and ROUTINELY for get teams that should be in top 5. I dunno how they keep their job.

He has Creighton ranked..wtf they lost to Gtown this week and are 5th in Big East. He kept Michigan but its clear he doesn't have RU on his radar
They have played and beaten no one...this is what we are dealing with
Garry Parrish at CBS does a Poll Attacks column every week calling out a voter who ranked a team higher after losing two games or dropping a team that blew out a ranked team. Every single week he has fresh material
Anyone who submits a ballot before Sunday's games are over should be stripped of voting rights.

Absolutely. It's a complete abdication of their responsibility and makes the whole thing a total farce. As bad as the football Coaches' poll, which most coaches have student assistants fill out for them.
This guy didn't even have Rutgers on his "bubble ballot." (He's not being serious about UNLV and CSU, he's the New Mexico writer and both of those teams blew New Mexico out this week)

I mean, is it really THAT hard to fill out a ballot if you're supposed to follow this stuff professionally? One guy doesn't have Michigan State at all. One guy doesn't even have us as a bubble ranked team. His Twitter profile says Full Time Dad and Part Time reporter for the ABQ or something. Another submits his ballot at 12:30? WTF. All of these guys should be called out. Maybe I should get a Twitter account just to shame a guy for submitting his ballot at 12:30.
I'm convinced we're not getting ranked, folks. And if we lose to Iowa we'll have to win about 8 road games in a row before we show up in the also receiving votes. How unprofessional these guys are. Ridiculous. I'd have more respect if they'd just submit the KenPom or NET rankings on their ballots and call it a day. Then we WOULD be ranked. Bozos.

I know this is not how it works, but we are 5-2 in the B1G with a 14-4 record. How can anyone leave a second place B1G team off their ballot with those numbers? If I’m Iowa, I’m praying RU is ranked. Pike will have them motivated if we’re not.

It does. See how many teams are the same rank? That's because Sunday had very few games. Saturday to Sunday was ratings mayhem.
Thank you. I suspected but wasn't sure. I knew it had been updated because when I googled it a couple hours earlier, it had us at 12-4. At that point, I just assumed it was a game behind, but then when I saw it go to 13-4, I figured something else had to be the reason.

the big issue we may have is
- PSU was ranekd when we beat them but fell out
- Wisconsin is not ranked now
- SHU is a quality win but at home
- we played Mi St close but lost
not sure how the Q1 Q2 stuff works but it seems we beat a bunch of the good teams while others have beaten top 15 teams

Maybe... MAYBE the votes elsewhere are diffuse enough (like Borges voting for Duquesne is irrelevant, they're not making it, and if he's not going to vote for Rutgers then I'd rather him vote for Duquesne than Penn State or Colorado) but I just think too many will leave us off.
