Some things should be more about Rutgers on Gameday and less about Football.

Neat video, yes.

I can't imagine any video being more exciting than having the stadium entirely full to capacity w/fans going absolutely nuts at the time the team takes the field. That would be exciting.
I'm not telling anybody what to do. But there's no denying that if everyone got in the stadium early and welcomed the team on the field like that, it would be awesome.
It's a cool video and there's nothing objectionable about it so not sure why they did away with it. But I also don't care if they show it or not.
Big mistake. That would have been like Urban coming in and nixing Script Ohio.
Are you serious? A video that's been around for 1 season being compared to arguably the best tradition in college football?

It was also a little goofy to watch the video of the horse running across campus and look down while the video was still running and see the guy waiting on the horse just outside the entrance waiting to come in.
And for night games the horse is arriving at the stadium at day time, but enters at night time
can't understand the responses of those that don't want it or don't care..... it is a cool setup for the horse to make an

FSU, USC, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Virginia, to name a few, have managed very well to incorporate a horse into a signature pregame ritual without the need for a hokey video. With a little creative effort, RU should be able to do the same. Either that or improve the video- a lot. The current one is no great shakes.
Wasn't it Ash (or somebody on BTN) that said Rutgers had one of the best pre-games out there or "right there' with any big time program?
So why screw with all the time. Do we not want to own anything?
F'in recruit the players and coach the team....stop reinventing the program from top to bottom every few years and now even publishing fan behavior guidelines. (still looking for the steps I need to take to get knighted)
The Horse Video was not perfect but certainly felt like a fan favorite for those WHO WERE in the stands...
Hell yeah I want to compete and win but I also know my roots and what I've invested for 40+ years.

The horse video was a highlight of the game day experience - well conceived and well produced and was instrumental in pumping the crowd. I truly hope they bring it back.
the video only works ,with the real horse..which in past Rutgers had to switch horses because one was afraid of crowd noise and the cannon.

I like the horse video, it could use an upgrade of a few more buildings around campus, one of the horse looking over the hill by Kirkpatrick chapel toward the stadium- (Historical implications) near the Alexander Hamilton gun battery, then running through campus and our more well known building until entering the stadium.
It could be tweaked every year where you go "Hey, check that out. When did that get built?" when we see the new RU building right around us.
The video has been around for several seasons and it brings people to their feet with cheers. By the way why can't they fix the audio system to that the entire stadium can hear the band when they are on the field?
Don't know why they can't "hide" the horse at the entrance (in the tunnel). In a similar manner host Jeff Probst, on every live "Survivor" finale, transitions from the final vote (tribal council) on the island (TAPED MONTHS EARLIER) to the Live finale-usually taped at Universal Studios, CA, yada. It gets a bit cheezy when they try to pretend Probst has flown live from the Island to live finale but it works.
With Rutgers' luck, though, the horse steps on Janarion Grant's foot taking him out for the season.
Right now it might be.
But it ain't too shabby now and with a few tweaks as it evolves it could be something a lot more than just us talk about.
That's because he got lost along the way. Google maps turn by turn can be a bitch.

we know you guys read the board and people are demanding the video to come back as it was part of the pregame excitement...do you guys have no explanation why you took a great well liked video and replaced it with a boring snippet that doesnt generate any excitement like the original video did
Love the old horse video.
After watching the pregame players video, (only twice) in my opinion doesn't resonate but that may be because of my age. The videos seems disjointed, the lighting in may parts of the video seems to be poorly executed. It doesn't really tell a story.
Are the fireworks really worth the 10K spent for each time they are shot off?

I would not put the horse video on the same level as Script Ohio but I would like to see it return. Many visiting fans noted it and if you watched non-players on the visiting sideline, many had there phones out videoing or snapping pictures when the horse and knight entered the stadium.
I hope those in charge do read this.... you took something a lot of fans looked forward to and killed it...
