Somewhat lost in all this, since when did breaking up a fight become a crime? Should they have watched until one of the girls scratched the other to death? Carroo's friend is not admitting to a crime; he is just admitting to pulling an attacker off GF#2. Mostly everything GF#1 has said in public will come back to haunt her. IMO, unless there is additional inculpating video, the muni prosecutor will either prep her as best he can to rehabilitate her and wait for the judge to dismiss the case after a trial or he/she will just throw in the towel and ask that it be dismissed. In either event GF# 1 will file a lawsuit to reach into his NFL money. And GF #2 might start her own criminal prosecution of GF #1 for assault. As often as not, both sides plead the fifth and the court just may dismiss the action for lack of prosecution. Don't know that here as there are evidently independent witnesses who can testify as to what they know.
Also, RU police have no excuse in leaving the area after the first incident, if indeed they did. Someone tell me why GF #1 stuck around after the first encounter. Did NJ.com ask her about this? And the "pack of wolves," were they RU recruit escorts? If so, that behavior on videotape is cause for immediate termination. If it happened in a classroom, dorm or academic building it would be cause for sanctions against the students.
To put it into perspective, does anyone think that if a police officer pulled a woman away from a fight with another woman and the person fell and sustained injuries that the officer would face criminal charges?
