this staff is really getting after it on the recruiting trail

Have not seen this since level of full staff recruiting effort since Bannon and staff

Lot of ground to make up from years of mess ups ...and they are doing just that

Not expecting miracles but we are in the game for real for the first time ih a long time

If this staff can show major improvement on the court in 16-17...look out

MadRU

Not yet...but these guys are really working it hard. Really reminds me of the Bannon/Hurley/Lanier/Tod K staff that really got after it and was everywhere...and it showed in the recruiting results.

When you look at the roster ...we have 3 to give for class of 2017 and 4 to give in the class of 2018.

These seven guys will be the nucleus of the team in year 4 of coach p program when they are juniors and sophs and everyone else is gone that is currently only the roster except thiam and bullock

By then everyone around here will be ansty for an on the court statement (if we don't surprise sooner)

Will be watching closely to see what we bring in the next 18 months ...will tell us a lot of how the program will look as the next decade arrives

I think the rice staff their first summer was pretty good though martelli was a weak link. This staff is better but that first rice summer was impressive. Hard to compare bannons first staff because so much less coverage compared to today

Yes Rice was working hard also. Even Jordan was working hard with Briscoe.

So I cannot believe everyone isn't all over you for the 4 years to build a nucleus.

But yes you are 100% correct!

Finally, a light at the end of the tunnel. This is how all those mid majors, that always seemed to have better teams than us do it. They look under every stone, and out work other programs, instead of just mailing it in. Give this staff 2 years and the post season tournaments will start rolling in. The NIT the first couple of years, followed by the Dance in the near future. First time I'm believing what I'm typing about basketball in a long time.

Shack, I know you are on the same page with me on this...

Any word on us working on a 5th year senior?

I finally feel like we have talented, creative professionals running our major sports programs. These are men with developed goals and the wherewithal to see them through.

Is there any RU interest in 2017 prospect Justin Minaya out of Old Tappan & Playaz AAU?

The difference is I see and hear a total staff involvement

This I haven't seen since Bannon where everyone was recruiting (thar was allows off campus) was out there trying to be seen

Total staff involvement

Sure every head coaches here tried...but this is different with the staff involvement

They were hired to do that. Unfortunately some coaches are not salesmen or entrepreneurs so their assistants better be out there being the streets and bringing in bodies. Hopefully live ones who can fill a seat , and a basket and be ready to rev this thing up.

If we can land a prospect like Alvarado this quickly, I will be pretty impressed. Would be a big time add. Definitely looks like the staff is working hard.
