This is a question for all of you guys in the know ..

What is the lowest-seeded team to win the B1G Tournament (since the conference went to 14 teams)?

What is the lowest-seeded team to win the B1G Tournament all-time?

Not that the answers to these questions have any bearing on how well RU will do in this year's tournament. I'm just curious.

Michigan as an 8 in 2017 is the answer to both.

Illinois lost in the title game as an 11 in 1999.

That's impressive. Although, I'm sure that Michigan team was probably pretty good. I mean, what with Iowa being the 5 seed this year and OSU the 6 seed, it's likely that very good teams can/often do wind up in one of those 5-8 spots.
