Thought Poz was the better wrestler 2nd and 3rd periods but had 2 shots to score and didnt. Good match overall
You're not wrong. He needed to finish a couple of those single legs but my goodness are these officials so inconsistent.
The good news is Poz looks healthy and just out wrestled the #2 97 lb in the country. Even though he lost should be good for confidence
If it was Peterson or shawver w the lead wrestling like Smith, they get banged w stalls, easy.

The subjectivity and inconsistency of officials in wrestling makes it really hard to take seriously sometimes.
Looking big picture, Peterson, Shawver, and Yara have already punched their ticket to nationals
Turley and Soldano can only be a NQ if they win their next match. Otherwise they will rely on at larges but would need to win the 9th place bracket first.
Poz has to win his next match. He needs to place 7th, but he’d probably get an at large at 8.
Moore, Cetta and Desantis will each be a NQ if they win their next match but if they lose, they enter a 4-man bracket for 9th place. Moore would be a NQ by winning 1 of those 2 consolation matches. Cetta/Desantis would have to win that bracket.
White is the only Rutgers wrestler fully eliminated after session 1

Happy that Al at least got a win. White he just can't be the 165 lber next year 0-2.
With session 1 wrapping up, all 10 Rutgers wrestlers at this point have wrestled to/above their seed

Peterson is the star of session. Beat 2 kids he lost to during the season. Peterson and Shawver should make the finals. We have a shot to finish 5th in the tourney. Let's keep it up!.
