BAC'S NCAA BUBBLE PECKING ORDER: 3/11/19

never thought St Mary's could pull that off, I will admit I was wrong. Gonzaga laid an egg....47 points, losing by 13 wow

well that takes a spot off the bubble....that leaves us with just 7 spots left

for now Belmont..sorry you are out...but you could get back in

LAST 4 IN: TEMPLE, INDIANA, NORTH CAROLINA STATE, ALABAMA (last in)
LAST 4 OUT: BELMONT, (last out), FLORIDA, TEXAS, CREIGHTON

St. Mary’s win most likely means loser of Ohio St./ Indiana will be outside looking in.

not necessarily....there are other schools that can be impacted....mainly any midmajor like Belmont...I think that is where the bid is stolen. Also you have the mess in the ACC and SEC to clear up and no guarantee that Temple is getting in

Also would not be surprised to see Buffalo an Washington (and ASU) lose..which then would seriously take two spots away

And the Johnnies lose and they lose a spot. They would be 4 straight losses.

The #1 seeds have only won 2 of 11 Confernce Tournamnets so far. Some bubble teams are starting to sweat.

WCC was very good this year. Good for St. Mary’s and big chuckle at NCAA! Can’t keep them out this year!

it's all relative. WCC terribly weak compared to power conferences but is strong compared to most lesser conferences.

Their total wins and losses as a conference vs KenPom top 50 competition OOC:
Gonzaga: 3-2
St. Mary's: 0-3
BYU: 1-3
San Fran: 0-1
Santa Clara: 0-2
San Diego: 0-2
Pepperdine: 0-1

So as a sum total, their big wins OOC were Gonzaga beating Duke, Washington, and Creighton (only road game was @ Creighton) and BYU beating Utah State at home.

Good for St. Mary's likely earning a spot since they have been bubblicious for several years in a row.

Joe Lunardi still has Texas as an above the last 4 in as an 11 seed but Jerry Palm is not even listing Texas as a bubble team anymore....lol

NC State should be out especially if they lose 1st round conference tournament.

their rpi is 104, they would not be considered if we were still using rpi

353 schedule out of 353....beat Auburn, Clemson and Syracuse. Lets note their crapshow vs Va Tech in losing 47-24

Clemson will knock them out today hopefully.

probably not. I cant see two SEC schools getting 1s

although based on performance alone it should, I know who I will not be picking in my bracket

I think they tanked the game. They score 40-45 in one half and only score 47 in the game ?

Always wondered about that helps your conference in the long run by getting another team in . Especially if Gonzaga holds on to the one seed . What do they really lose? Nothing

I do not think they would purposely tank the game and endanger their one seed to help out a conference mate...certainly havent done in the past against St Marys

Don’t think they tank either but incentive not there either especially when they were perfect the night before. Go home and prepare for Big Dance. I think they knew they clinched a one seed.

Clemson is not going to the NCAA after that epic collapse to NC State

I still would hold off on NC State having their ticket punched...a needed win but we need to see what else happens around the bubble. They are still are among my last 4 in even with this win

Epic win and comeback by NC State! Another nice win! 22 win season clinches bid. Great NET number, RPI be damned.

So

So if they knew they clinched 1 seed by getting to the Finals, then they had no incentive to play. So they tanked. They beat St. Mary’s twice earlier and once by 48 points. We can all agree to disagree.

Colgate punched their ticket tonight..first time since 96

TCU averted disaster by beating OSU...still not a lock yet...draw Kansas State tomorrow...tough task, win and in, lose and sweat

St Johns beats De Paul and any talk about them somehow missing out is over

WVU stuns Oklahoma. Yes the Sooners are still a lock even though thats a very sketchy loss to have and they actually finish 7-12 in league play. Too many quality wins though

I agree-----have a feeling Belmont is going to get a bid.

Look out for Oregon and Davidson in their conference tourneys

Which begs the question, losses don’t matter any more as long as you have some quadrant wins which you get by playing only each other and mid majors can’t get any? Talk about rigged system and collusion! SMH.

St. John’s clinched a bid. Creighton makes a run Big East run and they could very well get 5.

Still think NC State already clinched especially if they are really using the mysterious NET and not the ridiculous RPI.

losses matter for overall record, we are going to see that play out with schools like Alabama, Texas and Florida and possibly Indiana, but yeah wins matter, no doubt the NET is favoring power conference schools, when you have all 14 Big 10 schools in the top 100 that is an issue

the OK loss to WVU was only their first Q3 loss and their SOS is 13

Ohio State beats Indiana. I think they dance with this win but will no call them a lock yet. Certainly solidly above last 4 in line

Is this it for Indiana. I lean that way but never say never

I think Indiana is done. Couple big bid steals already. Would not be shocked to see the bubble shrink to 1-2 spots

Florida knocks off Arkansas in a must win moving closer to in . Do they have to beat LSU tomorrow? Maybe

Virginia pulled away and hammered NC State. Wolfpack still dangle perilously on the last 2 or 3 in line

Creighton loses to Xavier and i don't think they should get in but we will see when full scrub on Sunday morning. Many lesser bracketologists had them in before this loss

Utah State trying to hold on vs New Mexico in the MWC quarters...I think they are a lock but could fall to play in game if they lose this game

Arizona State about to beat UCLA to put them in semis, I will stop short of locking them in yet. I see them like Ohio State who also won today. Those 2 clearly have seperated themselves a couple rungs from the last 4 in but just going to keep them on the bubble for now

Georgetown getting throttled by Seton Hall will be officially eliminated from contention

Xavier's chances are sketchy at best even if they make the BE finals

Texas down 9 to Kansas nearing midway in 2nd half. There has never been a 16-16 school to make the dance and I dont think there will be this year.

WVU at 14-19 is the Cinderella of Championship Week in the Big 12 after taking down Texas Tech....will get winner of Kansas/Texas in Big 12 semis

Alabama rallies to beat Ole Miss...a quality Q1 win, they and Florida in similar spots against top schools that they beat earlier in the season. Not sure they can beat Kentucky again while Florida gets a LSU team in a bit of turmoil
