Basketball proved to be an outstanding recruiting tool for Schiano

It was so amazing to see the RAC rocking and screaming for the basketball team and for Greg Schiano, who stole the show! What a great look for the basketball and football recruits who were there that this University finally has its identity back, the CHOP. No doubt the reemergence of football will help all programs stay relevant most of all basketball.

After watching the whole tape from Saturday I'm convinced more than ever that the investment in football is an investment in all Rutgers athletes.

Totally agree. If basketball can be relevant it will really help us recruit for football. Especially considering that every other year we will have a jam packed home game vs SHU the last weekend before signing day. It’s a great resource for GS to exploit

vice versa, too. I can't imagine Pike bringing a basketball recruit to a lifeless football stadium would be appealing. Now we'll be able to offer fall basketball visitors a real college football experience also.
