Been a lil busy, so I'm late getting this out there... Just a few thoughts from the match

165 Lewis... Seems like he's growing into the weight nicely... Solid win... Sunday will really be a true look at where he stands at this weight...

174 Grello... Seems to be starting to click for him... Interested to see how he does vs Hall... Not sure he can hang in way he did vs. Jordan.. I just don't feel it's a good matchup for him... But that's why they wrestle....

184 Gravina... Just when people wanna start writing him off... He makes a statement.... Wanna see 7 minutes vs Opie..err I mean Nickal... Lol...

197 Mulligan... He really needs some confidence...and serious S&C... Talent is there.. Needs to get back into it mentally and adjust his approach.. See if he can find a way to mitigate his strength disadvantage...

285 Gross... Another one wrestling in quicksand... Was hoping to see a lil more out of him.. Especially after the last month of last season... But he's a kid without a weightclass... Just think of there was 215 class... Oh well..

125 Suriano... He may be #1. But that changes nothing for him... And I'm sure he'd be the first to tell you that... Nothing flashy... Just relentless and workmanlike... Will serve him well come March...

133 Delvecchio... Yeah... That really hurt..A win there gives us that match... Don't know much about this Renteria kid..Will be keeping an eye on him... Hopefully gets back on track vs Keener..

141 MVB... Another one who needs more confidence.. Talent is there.. I don't think he believed he could win that match till it was too late... He needs to trust in his abilities...

149 DeLuca.. One lil mistake hurt him there... And at this level..that's all it takes... Still gave himself a chance to pull it out at the end...

157 JVB... Great job 3rd period getting back in the match and forcing SV... His Achilles heel showed up again there though.. He just puts himself in too many bad positions... Which would be fine if he was Nolf... But Nolf is the exception to the rule... But one thing you can never accuse JVB of is holding anything back... He does leave it all out there..I

Overall... Effort was there... Got the early toss ups and an upset on paper... Gotta find a way to win one of those last 4 matches on the road...can't blame youth as it was 2 5th yr seniors and a 4th yr junior in the lineup... Let's get past PSU without getting beat up too bad physically... Scoreboard will be another matter...

Renteria is the real deal - one of the top freshman this year making a statement. He beat two ranked opponents before Delvecchio so that's really not a surprise.

Delvecchio did not match up with the intensity and was flat to start before he started to try and turn it up.

Which is what he does every match it seems ...he shoots when it’s too late instead of having that sense of urgency from the beginning
