- Spike Albrecht, formerly of Michigan - now with Purdue - is fully practicing so he should be fine for 2016/17.
- Illinois' Mike Thorne has been cleared for full contact practice.
- Illinois' F Leron Black has been cleared for full contact drills.
II. Schedules / Opponents:
- Michigan State will play Penn State at the Palestra. I like this.
- Ohio State will play UCLA and Kentucky will play UNC in Las Vegas on 12/17.
- Rutgers will play at Stony Brook in an interesting OOC game given Coach Pikiell's tenure at Stony Brook. This was part of Pikell's contract with Stony Brook.
- Michigan has signed a home and home with Texas for 2017 and 2018. Great series.
- Purdue is currently playing overseas in Spain. I wonder if this is the trip that Rutgers was supposed to take?
- Purdue will participate in the 2017 Battle 4 Atlantis with Arizona; Nova; NC State; SMU and others.
- Michigan and Cincinnatti cancelled their scheduled game in 2016 due to conflicts with Final Exams.
- Illinois will play WVU in the 1st game of the Pre-Season NIT followed by FSU vs Temple.
- Nebraska will play in this years' Wooden Tourney with Dayton; UCLA; Tex A&M ; V Tech and others.
- Michigan State will play in this years' Battle of Atlantis with St Johns; Louisville; Wich State; VCU and others.
- Northwestern will play in this years' Legends Tourney along with Texas; Notre Dame and Colorado.
-Michigan will play in the 2K Tourney along with Marquette; SMU and Pitt.
- Rutgers will play in the Holiday festival at MSG vs Fordham aling with Penn State vs St Johns
III. Coaches:
- Ohio State hires former Charlotte HC Alan Major as Director of Player Development.

- Michigan has landed Kentucky Transfer Charles Matthews.
- Illinois G Kendrick Nunn has transferred to Oakland.
- Minnesota F Charles Buggs transfers to USC.
- Nebraska F Andrew White is transferring out and I do not believe he has committed as of yet.
- Indiana's Max Hoetzel has transferred to San Diego State.
- Ohio State's Austin Grandstaff has transferred to Depaul.
V. Commitments / Recruits:
- Rutgers received commitments from F Eugene Omoruyi for 2016 and from G Geo Baker for 2017.
