Blue Lot Access Question

We're tailgating in Dark Blue for the first time. Any recommendation on the best route there from downtown NB? Can we cross from Rt 18 and get off onto Campus Drive, or are there weird traffic patterns we need to be aware of? Is there a long wait to get into the lots?

I just worry we'll make a wrong move, get stuck, and miss an hour of good tailgating time. Usually take the train/shuttle, haven't driven to a game in over 10 years.

Easton Ave to Landing Lane over the bridge and turn onto River Road
or
Get onto Route 18 North and get off at the River Road exit.
or
take 18 North all the way into Piscataway and turn Right onto Hoes and then follow the directions below.

either way turn onto Hoes Lane then onto Frelinghusen and into the Blue Lot.
