It's certainly not impossible. But it's important to note that programs like Wisconsin are the exception to the rule in terms of the recruiting-to-winning ratio.
I mean I just gave you examples of Baylor and Louisville who recruit similarly. Nebraska recruits well but not at an elite level and they are in the top 10 right now. Washington had a few very good classes but they aren't routinely in the top 25.

I'm not saying this recruiting class turns us into an elite team, but if Ash recruits like this consistently and he's the coach we hope he is, Rutgers probably has a good chance to being ranked or close to being ranked every year or so as he builds class after class. I know you like to downplay our recruiting, but this is a very good class for us and is a step in the right direction and I think Ash builds on it.

Nobody thinks Ash turns us into a national championship contender or even a Big Ten contender right now or anytime soon. We have to crawl before we walk and walk before we run. I think our goal as a program is to become ranked in the next 5 years. It will be challenging but it is doable.
