I don't understand why anyone would think that joining the B1G has anything to do with the tuition hike/ Yes, one happened after the other, but so what? What is the link between the two? After all, this tuition hike is in the same range as the routine tuition hikes Rutgers has had for the last several years. Expenses do increase, after all, even though the faculty and staff didn't get much of an increase: just a $500 bonus.
