Took my family to the Point Pleasant boardwalk last night. My son wanted me to win him a basketball. Made my shots, then looked around at the options... Kentucky, LSU, Duke, UNC, Texas, "Restore the Shore", but nothing RU.

Really a shame.

Not just the basketballs, because I do understand that, but there was nothing down there.

There are kids, like my son, who absolutely would rather have an RU ball, but instead he chose Kentucky and Louisville (forgot to mention that one).

I was at that same place 5 days ago and had the same thought process and unfortunately the same conclusion as the 2nd poster.
Still, crappy for 100 years or not, the State university should be all over!

I was at Hershey Park last year and won a basketball also. Choices were Texas, Penn St. and Duke. I took Texas.

It really has nothing to do with us (the schools aren't donating the basketballs to the vendors) other than we aren't a national power that you can buy bulk basketballs on the cheap. I'm guessing in PA, even though PSU basketball stinks, they still make lots of them. Probably not the same situation in NJ with RU. These carnivals/boardwalks/amusement parks are looking to give you the cheapest prizes they can.
