Bottles thrown on field at Bengals vs Steelers

The guy that threw the bottle at Ben while he was being carted off the field deserves to get his face smashed with that bottle

How do you know it was a guy that threw it ? Was there video ? This may come as a surprise but women actually go to football games.

Lewis should be fired. He let Burfict get away with cheap dirty football all season and now he should pay a price. I have no doubt Burfict will end up in prison or dead. He can't have an IQ above 80. Jones is not much smarter.

Bengals need to fire 0-7 Lewis and hire Lovie who will bring some discipline to the team and has won some playoff games

Everyone knows that Burfict, Pac Man, and the others would not be in the NFL only because they still have the talent to play. (sarcasm). But yet Ray Rice can't even get a tryout anymore, smh.

*Yes, Burfict should be suspended for three games for that hit, along with the history he had this year with Pittsburgh. Throwing the elbow like he did didn't help.
*No matter what you think of that Shazier hit on Bernard that caused the fumble, I thought spearing is illegal in the NFL. I'm not using the defenseless player crap as an excuse. But the crown of the helmet was used on the hit but no call.
*Yes Joey Porter is allowed to be on the field to check on an injured player but Antonio Brown was no where near that Bengals huddle and should've been escorted away by the officials but never did.
*Marvin Lewis had his chances to improve his playoff record but 0-7 is 0-7. And with the way his players acted the last few years, he should be fired unless they're afraid of a Stephen A Smith rant. Of course maybe a Lovie Smith type can take over that team and give them the discipline they need. But who knows.
*Can you imagine the sh** storm Philly would be going through in the media this morning if Eagles fan were throwing bottles on the field like Cincy fans did last night?

Dam shame that the game ended like that because AJ McCarron and AJ Green deserved that win after they brought their team back in the fourth quarter. But hey... WHO DEY, lol?

I think it was close on shazier. Gotta put head down to use shoulder and trying to figure out placement can be difficult in real time with player turning. I think that could have gone either way.

Would like to see if that's common for coach to be on field while player is injured. If it's fairly uncommon, probably should have called a penalty on Porter.

This is what caps lead to ladies and gentlemen.

I read about the bottle tops/caps in the concessions thread and was completely lost. Can somebody explain it to me? I will defer, but I don't see how the presence or absence of a cap encourages/discourages throwing of the bottle.

It's difficult to throw a bottle full of water if the vendor removes the bottle caps upon sale...I assume.

Porter being on the field was a rules violation and steelers should have been flagged

Ignoring one rule, then applying another because of the result of the first rule being broken (Porter breaks rule, Jones bumps him as a result) makes the NFL pretty much the WWE and it's why a lot of people think it is rigged. Refs selectivaly enforce rules to decide outcome of games.

Well, earlier in the game, the Steelers returned a fumble for a td then got an unsportsman call for 15 yards for celebrating td. Turns out the play was down way back at the forty. They still got the penalty.

I don't know if it's common for coaches to be on the field when players are hurt and generally unenforced, but I do know what Jones did almost always will draw a penalty, regardless of the circumstances or how that situation came to be.

The worst part about that was the way Shazier was joyously dancing and celebrating with his teammates. He did everything but point to Bernard lying injured on the field.

What are you talking about? He ran the ball back for what should've been a touchdown if the refs didn't blow the fumble call in the first place. If that TD stood, it would've been 21-0 pending the PAT and goodnight, Cincinnati. Of course he would be happy about that - and how would he know immediately that Bernard was still down 60-70 yards away?

What are you talking about? I'm talking about well after the play was over when he was over on the sidelines. His body language and gestures were all like yeah I knocked that MF out.

I wonder if he intended to pee on him. They guy in front of him could have been the victim of some unintended splashing. You can't blame the guy for not wanting to leave his seat and go to the bathroom during the last 90 seconds of that game.
Well, the guy that peed on the other guy also punched the other guy in the face. Seems like maybe there was intent.

Unless the peeing was accidental at which point the peeer decided "what the hell, in for a penny, in for a pound" and punched the wet guy in the face when he turned around to complain.

Punched him, huh? Well, I guess you can't argue intent there. Which brings us back to the Burfict hit...

Ask Sam Wyche if this is common in Cincinnati. You must be young.
Bengals fans throw bottles and garbage at players leaving the field with injuries and referees in 2016. Eagles fans throw snowballs at a drunk guy dressed as Santa in 1968. Which one will be remembered? Time to move on, don't you think?
