Build the program; Don't attack recruits

Everyone needs to donate more money to Rutgers, but to associate the lack of donations with getting our teeth kicked in trying to recruit NJ is silly. The issue is the head coach, not because I don't donate an extra $100 or $1,000. We didn't have problems recruiting NJ like this since pre-bowl years, maybe even before Schiano came. We have a lot more money now than in 2000 or 2004 or even 2012.

It's not the extra $100 or $1000, although that would help. It's those that choose to donate ZERO. Report just last week that only 8% of alums donate to RU. Pathetic,

I don't blame them. I will never give the lint from my pocket to Rutgers outside of athletics. The school can honestly go ___ itself.

Another that thinks he is soooooo important to the program. You're a fan. Nothing more.
I know I'm just a fan and try to act like one.
Also know there are bigger fans then me and some complain more than I do.

But don't have the ability to critique each individual poster here on their importance to the RU FB .
Thank you for putting me in my place and I'm sad that you think > I'm not the most important fan in RU's history

But I like to think the donations ( small or large) that you and I make along with many others, help RU just a little bit and being just a fan is not a bad thing [cheers]

They are one and the same, in case you didn't know.

You can keep giving to athletics only, that is 100% OK but no need to get all nasty about it.

Fair point. I shouldn't have said proven. But atleast a HC who has OC/DC experience. Not a former offensive line coach

The irony of it is that guys like yourself would be thrilled to steal away a young P5 HC with a winning record away from another school.

Here is the problem I have with that whole rep Jersey crap...

Rutgers has lots of players that are not from NJ, many of whom are the best players on the team. Are the people who get upset that some NJ player went elsewhere also upset that these players decided to come here instead of their home state school?

It is a double standard, IMHO.

The difference is you rarely hear those kids talking about repping their state. NJ kids do it all the time. It's stupid.

They are repping NJ HS Football, that is what they mean, not the actual state of New Jersey. This is very clear in interviews, but people still confuse the two.

Ok. Who are the top 3-5 coaches you would go after?? I am asking for specific names of people you think are qualified. Not a general statement of an OC or DC from a power 5 school.
