If we have a budget to spend on players a player shouldn’t have to ask to get paid more. If Fernandes came for $X and Cam was making $1/3X and we didn’t proactively pay him more he should leave.

Huh? Life is about networking. The more strong connections you have, the better you secure your long term future. Hand holding is when mom or dad gets you a job out of college. You leverage the relationships you build along your life path to pave the way for future opportunities. When you burn bridges, you’d better hope the new ones you build can replace them. In life, most people leverage connections.

Yet I'd give more respect to the fans here who are non-RU grads before I support/praise/respect a player who basically took a big turd on Pike, his teammates and my alma mater in the fashion Cam did.
It is a fact not being disputed that he is in the portal but the rest of what you list is rumor and assumption, which may prove to be true or not or we may never know. I would need a lot more info to judge. Who got what NIL last year and what were the schedules for this year? Was playing time discussed and when. Maybe Rfund was to try to reward him or instill loyalty if he brought up unhappiness about NIL or playing time. I could go on with relevant questions that with real answers that could change my opinion of Cam, Pike and RU, but I don't have the time for it. It sucks he is leaving and I hope we get some help from the portal.
Are you kidding about Rfund? Reward? He was selected to be there as one of our player representatives. If we knew he was leaving there’s no chance in the world he would have been picked to be there. The fact that he was is a horrific look for us.
He could’ve declined. Pretended to be sick. Whatever. It’s factually the case that he chose to attend and represented himself as one of our players at a point when he had to know he had no intention of ever playing for the Scarlet Knights again. It was only a few weeks ago.
All teh pro-Caleb stuff is good and fair.. but I cannot help but think Caleb is a little jealous of Cam's ability to make the ball go through the hoop. They are both guards and if Caleb could shoot like Cam he's be cashing an NBA check next year.

Yeah pretty well known Geo ( not Caleb) as a student athlete was one of a group if I am correct I realized the other day when I switched up the names. So yes clown … Geo did write about NIL and his belief as to why. Ok DB?
