Caleb Throwing Shade at Cam

Are you saying Geo was not a main cog in the push for NIL at the time. Saw a great deal of postings by the player and others but his activism for NIL was pretty substantial.Don’t allow that hot sun fry your evidently loud mouth .

No, I’m saying Caleb was not a main cog. Keep up.

Cam has no loyalty to any program or players so not sure why everyone is butt hurt about this it should have been expected that he could go this way.

In the long run this might cost him more that he thinks or realizes. RU plays in the biggest market and has contacts in many different areas. The program can help you get employment at many places once Basketball is done for you.
He's now known as a kid that has no loyally to any program or corporation going forward. Would you hire this kid if he wanted a job with you ? He's a goner as soon as a better offer comes along.

When you are young you don't understand this dynamic.

So cam won’t make any new connections a his new college? Lol the thought that cam needs pike to help him through life is so laughable. He’ll be fine.

How dense are you? When you apply for a job - any job…. Who you know matters. And not all relationships are created equal. Cam has no idea what type of relationship he’s going to build at his next stop. You never do. Always a risk when you make a change.

Wasn't it reported by the site staff that it basically happened over last weekend when Cam went home?

So no, it appears Cam didn't know weeks ago he was going to transfer.

As was said, all speculation on your part about the timing.
Just stop. This stuff doesn’t get done over a weekend. If your naive enough to believe he just suddenly decided right when he got his degree I was all in - now I’m peace out…. I don’t know what to tell you

Hahahaha yeah I’m the clown when you’re going on rant about the wrong person. Senile fool, might be time to change your diaper.
Tough talk from a keyboarder … it was a rant but it was corrected by someone and I admitted as such. You are one of the gutless wonders I mentioned. 😎

Bob is not going anywhere… Bob will be here for many more years posting . I will be here longer than many others. That’s actually your gain . Keep sitting in the HOT Arizona sun. Love clowns like you …tough talker behind the keyboard. Did you put in for the TKR position yet.

Bob, throwing hands with 70 year olds is not my fear or my thing. Get a hold of yourself. You must be constipated or something.

Not throwing hands at all… explaining that being the age we are we should be able to make mistakes and enjoy Rutgers sports. But just to reiterate for you and several others . Bob ain’t going nowhere… going to enjoy Schiano’s rebuild and Root for Steve P and the boys.

I'm just going off what @Richard Schnyderite said in the podcast. Maybe I misunderstood what he was saying but it appeared to actually be a fairly short timeline and someone(s) got in Cam's ear when he went home recently.

I’m sure there was outside influence but as I said earlier, the only open question here is the extent of premeditation. Maybe it wasn’t straight up planned for months, but this didn’t just “come up” the first second he became eligible for the portal. There’s no excuse for how this went down. In some respects, I’m glad Cam wasn’t part of a historic year. He can sort of just fade into distant RU history memory.

I pointed out your initial point was wrong - and I was correct. You came at me, then I eviscerated you because you’re a buffoon. Happy to tell you to your face at any point how dumb you are, then you can be wrong about that too. Your calling card. Moron. Insert lame emoji.

No I didn’t SWAIN I admitted after I realized I had misinserted Caleb for Geo. You have for over 3-4 years now actually attacked and sometimes “ liked “ a postings of mine . Like I said , you talk like a tough guy BEHIND that keyboard of yours. You are wrong …see you think you ‘re a tough guy. I ‘m too old to fight unless I actually had to … guess what the only moron here is you unfortunately . As for lame … nah ….I leave it at that . Goodnite DB.

Let me try to make this simple for you. When the portal was open, lots of teams thought they would be able to fill their needs thought that, and Cam’s value was probably not too far off from what Rutgers was paying him. When the portal closed and the music stopped, a substantial number of high major teams had not filled their needs for a SG and became desperate to find a good player to slot in, and Cam’s value exploded. Cam now has his pick of top programs to choose from for $$$’s that are many multiples of what Rutgers was paying him.

So your saying that all of a sudden - all these teams realized they had a hole to fill? Geo made it clear there was no negotiation with Rutgers. Come on man. Your trying too hard here. The kid went through the motions to get all the training and support he could from Rutgers up until the second he was eligible for the portal. Then he entered it. It’s like your twisting yourself in a pretzel to come up with plausible scenerios where he didn’t mean for it to happen.

It sounded more like: schools were waiting to see who else entered the portal (for example Mag). When the regular portal window closed that shut the door on any other non-grad players becoming newly available.

As such, the potential grad transfer players immediately became more valuable (scarcity of available players) since they were the only new players available.

Caleb was a leading or maybe THE leading voice around the install of NIL in college sports. Cam did what was best for Cam. Like it or not he owed zilch to Rutgers and Pikiell except a B1G thank you. Sorry Caleb “ if” he’s upset just needs to take a step back . You can tell this had been a combination of going back home and making a few bucks.

To Gilles Deleuze: better try again… as soon as I saw the name I knew this dead guy.

Your problem with using this name is as a person with French ancestry I recognized I’ve read his works. Another Rutgers educated tool.

There is nothing to negotiate yet, he is talking to multiple schools right now, he doesn’t have final numbers yet. If Rutgers wanted to be part of the process they could be, but they can see where this is going, they have no interest in going to where his final number is headed.

Hahaha You keep track of the posts I liked 4 years ago? Shocked you can remember when you can’t get keep our players straight. Doubt I’ve ever directed more than two posts towards you before, but seems like they cut deep. Based on your account, it sounds like I give credit where credit is due (very rare in your case I’m sure) and call out when I see something wrong. Like I did here. And you couldn’t let it go. You were wrong. I was right. I don’t say anything tough at all - you called me a tough guy behind a keyboard, intimating that I wouldn’t say that in person. I countered that assertion. You were wrong and embarrassed and couldn’t let it go.
Calling you a moron isn’t acting tough - it’s stating my opinion based on all the stupid things you post.

Dude - no. You are missing the point. RU was caught completely by surprise in this. It was a complete blindside - like with Eugene. During the Pike era, that was the only situaiton like this. JY announced that was he was moving on from RU before he entered the portal. He did so immediately following the season. When Mag was thinking of leaving, Rutgers was involved in the discussions. Another opportunity came up - he went to Pike and we worked it out. But even if he decided to move on, he didn’t try to deceive anyone at any point.

Something didn’t just “come up” for Cam to suddenly consider. If it did, he’d have given Pike the courtesy of going to him before entering the portal. This was a JY style decision. Cam knew he was out. Except in his case, he acted openly as if this wasn’t his plan until way too late. It’s disgusting that he represented us at a recent Rfund event and probably collected a few NIL bucks in doing so. Our fans deserve a refund.

Isn't he obligated to do these events though? Idk how these contracts work but I imagine it's for the school year. He graduated. This is all business.

I have no idea how these things are drafted. The basketball season is over. Clearly we would not be sending players who are transferring to do these events if we know they won’t be at RU next year whether the contract calls for it or not. Cam announced that he was attending grad school at RU. That’s why he was selected.

This is also kind of crazy. How can he apply and get into graduate school when it starts in 3 months. What serious graduate school takes him into their academic program this late?
