I find this piece a little Pollyannaish, but it is true that strides are being made to revive Camden. Note that there is little mention of the "meds and eds" strategy of using Rutgers and Cooper Hospital as the mainstays of a recovery. You should also know that the idea of knocking down 600 buildings is controversial; some people think it ought to be made possible to have those structures rehabbed so that they contribute to the size of the housing stock.
